Where do you start, filthy outside, 1970s inside, apparently has been done up. I called in while waiting for a train and quickly left. …

The Imp is a bit of a dive, to be honest. Please don't get me wrong, the patrons are great, it's the place itself that has some issues. The beer selection isn't great and when ordering a vodka and Coke, a cheap diet cola was usedExtra star because there's a pool table

£30 for B&B , so great value. Near station so handy to reach. I was in room 6. No en suite facilities , but bath / shower & loo was near enough. The hotel is also a pub type atmosphere. Staff very nice. Great breakfast. Cannot fault. …

It's an awful place to stay!! Worst hotel in rhyl, there is poo stains on the toilet curtains, the landlords (husband and wife) are always smoking in their bar and constantly drunk!! Super unfriendly atmosphere due to the fact the owners are always drinking, my bedding is dirty and has holes in it, for some reason there is a working plug socket in the bathroom, dissused broken boilers are still fitted on the shower wall, there is broken beds in the halls, and dirty matrrsses on the fire escape and the rats love this place! This places stinks of fags and drug use is rife! Shower just burnt me then turned cold then stopped working, I reported this and was met with awkwardness and no resolution, probably because the owner was, you guessed it, drunk. I'm moving from this place as soon as I can, what a discussing place!!

Under new management and still a total dive.Rooms are well below par for the £25 p/n p/p asking price. Especially when you no longer get breakfast included. The bars still full of the local scumbags trying to survive all day on £5. And a few new locals which is even more worrying (cockroaches in the bar) I didn't see them in the room but who knows. All in all I'd steer well clear, there's plenty other budget options in the town center with a lot more going for them. Such a shame really as the imperial is quite an iconic hotel in Rhyl, perfectly located. Just very poorly run.
