The stay here was good and bad. Let's go through it.The Room - Slightly old, needs a bit of love. Single beds are TINY, double beds are fine. No hand soap in our room. Only 3 plug sockets, none of which next to the bed.The Service - Good. Friendly woman at reception. Gave us a cup of hand soap to take up.Parking - Meh. £4.50 for the day. Pretty good, but all the best hotels know not to make you pay for parking.Price - We paid £144 for a 3 person room. £44 each. Not dreadful as we needed somewhere to stay, not great though for the quality overall.

The hotel is ideally located for seeing many beauty spots in the local area and for travelling into the town centre too. It’s quiet, clean and the staff were so helpful and friendly for anything we asked or needed. Excellent value for money. Paid parking is only £4.50 for 24 hours so don’t be put off.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel, although a little dated compared to some other Travelodge's, was clean and comfy. It was easy to get to where we needed to go from there.

I recently attended a funeral in South Wales which is a 300 mile round trip from Prestatyn.I am 63 yrs old and have recently undergone 2 major surgeries for bowel cancer and have a stoma. We called into the services at Rhostyllen as I desperately needed to use a toilet, only to find Starbucks and Subway closed. My only hope was Travel Lodge. I asked the person on reception whether there was a toilet I could use. I explained my situation but was told they had no public toilets. I showed them my priority card and explained I have a medical condition and really needed a toilet.I was given the same response. We had to drive another 20 minutes (which caused me great discomfort and distress) to find somewhere and ended up using the facilities at a local hospital.I fully understand that Travel Lodge cannot have all and sundry using their building as a public toilet but I was desperate. I would never expect preferential treatment from anywhere but I was very disappointed at the response and lack of empathy and understanding

the man at reception is probably the only hotel staff ive ever met who doesnt seem to like having hotel guests. we had some trouble with the parking, and he was immediately aggravated when we asked for assistance. we didnt realize there was a time limit to complete our transaction, which he was frustrated by - forgive us for not knowing the ins and outs of your parking system? - and then told me to enter our license number, which i did, only for the machine to malfunction, which he immediately blamed me for. he then barked orders at my mother while she tried to complete her transaction, and badgered her for not being quick enough. when my mother got our key, he told her to 'use the black thing' to open the door, and then scoffed at her for not realizing what he meant. the room is also clearly big enough for two beds yet only fits one, so we have this large liminal space that makes a very offputting environment, and the bathrub is rusting and peeling around the faucets. its not exactly premier inn.thanks to the woman at the reception though - she was the only person there who seemed to actually want guests to have a nice time, lmao.
