Stayed 2 nights but wish it could been longer. Can't fault this place. The new owners have spent a lot of money on the remodeling and it's been worth it. The inside is warm and welcoming and the bar area is light and airy. The staff are friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and beautifully decorated with a good size en-suite with a waterfall shower. The water was hot and plentiful. Tea and coffee was provided in the room along with a smart TV. The beds were lovely and comfortable. It's lovely to find a hotel where breakfast is included in the room rate with both continental and cooked options available. The food was top notch with plenty of variety on the menu and daily specials. Special mentions for Paris and Denise for looking after us so well. We were sorry to leave and can't wait to return.

We stayed at this hotel 2 weeks after it had been refurbished. We had our dog with us and we were all made very welcome. There is a small charge for the dog but he could go in the bar and accompany us for our meals. …

Fantastic hotel! Newly refurbished and extremely comfortable. Staff are very friendly and go out of their way to ensure your stay is comfortable. The hotel is dog friendly and the dog is allowed to accompany you to the bar and for food. Rooms are spacious with many plugs for devices. There is a smart TV. Kettle and tea and coffee making facilities are available along with biscuits. A hairdryer is in the room. The en-suite is perfect. Walk in shower and spacious bathroom. Comfortable bed and pillows. Great views from the window. We enjoyed our evening meal chosen from a reasonably priced menu. Breakfast was superb. There was a help yourself buffet to choose from consisting of fruit, yoghurts, cereals and toast. A cooked breakfast of choice followed. The hotel is a good price and we will definitely be returning.

Excellent hotel, we can highly recommend it. The room we stayed in was finished to a great standard, everything looked new. It felt cozy and we appreciated the tea/coffee and short bread in the room. …

Amazing service, with very friendly staff. The chef was very accommodating to my gluten and dairy free allergies. He even came out to check with me. The food was delicious and plenty of it. I can't recommend this place enough. The redurb looks awesome too.

We popped into the bridge end hotel on Sunday 27th October, and were delighted when they said they could seat 8 of us for Sunday lunch in approximately an hour at 3pm.The problem was, as it turned out they definitely could not seat us at 3pm, we were finally seated at approximately 3:40 but we were not allowed to order until gone 4pm, with four hungry children this was not ideal.By this point we were all starving so most (but not all) ordered starters which to be fair to them came out very quickly (only about 10/15 minutes) and were nice, not amazing but nice enough, we thought ok, this will be ok.How wrong we were when an hour later, the table next to us were served their mains who had been seated (no exaggeration at all) 10 minutes prior and our hungry children (and my husband who hadn't ordered a starter) were absolutely starving sat there with no food. This was the final straw and we go up to leave, we paid for our drinks and attempted to speak to the manager, who can only be described as the most childish rude person anyone could hope to meet, he would not let my husband or friend finish what they were saying and kept blaming OTHER staff saying that they were trainers! The other staff were actually lovely, the problem here was that HE had told us he had a table for us when in fact his restaurant had no capacity to seat us at all, if he had just been honest in the first place and said what time you could have seated us (430 I would think by the timings) then we could have made the decision for ourselves when we and our children were going to eat and avoided this entirely horrible situation.

Was working in this area about 16 years ago. Me and the lads used to come here almost daily for their amazing barbecue ribs that we all agreed were the best we ever had. Was highly looking forward to them and was disappointed to see they stopped doing them. Still a great spot though 👍

Called in first day of the new opening. The Bridge End has been totally transformed and looks fantastic. As a local I will definitely be going to the Bridge more often. The new benches outside are a great addition and looking forward to trying out the new menu soon. Best of luck for the future.
