Fabulous stay, very polite girl in reception on visit, think her name was Chloe very kind a respectful lady, Breakfast was kinda small but was delicious! Had a couple of drinks in the bar was quiet and felt warm and comfortable.Sleep was great no issues within that room was perfect for heat, the only down fall I can say is they was no blind in the bathroom so you couldn’t have a shower without everyone in the car park seeing, but except to that I will be staying the next couple of coming weeks for a couple of days hope to see that blind fitted 😃All the best!

Shocking service from this place... family of 5 booked in for Christmas day. After numerous times calling and not getting a call back we decided to go into reception to book. Where we were told it was £75 per person. …

Had a lovely weekend to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary. Staff were excellent. Could not have done more for us. Comfy room. Coped with my dietary requirements flawlessly (and safely). Family enjoyed themselves. Staff helped add the little family touches. Can't fault them

Lovely weekend with my husband for our 25th anniversary. We were upgraded to a bigger better room which was a pleasant surprise.Breakfast was adequate. There was more money required extra on some items that really didn't need it for a busy hotel and the price of the breakfast. The pool facilities were amazing with saunas, coffee area for after and a gym.The staff were very helpful and really welcoming and friendly. The grounds were beautiful and relaxing. The location was great for access to Edinburgh and if you would like a drink thereis a train station close by or the tram is a short drive away.Definitely would go back.

Conveniently located on the motorway, with a good size pool for relaxation. The pool closes at 8pm so make sure you arrive in plenty of time and not miss it like we did. Deluxe rooms are spacious - we didn't use any other facilities as were there only for a few hours on the way out of Scotland.

We had such a lovely stay at this hotel! We came as part of a SpaBreaks package and the staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful in every way.We stayed in a standard king room (last minute upgrade) and were really happy with it. Very quiet, beautiful surroundings, huge comfy bed and lovely clean bathroom. The bar was really pretty and the restaurant food and staff were lovely. We were in a rush on our first night and the food came out really quickly while still being very tasty and hot. The cooked breakfast (full Scottish and vegan Scottish) were really tasty. Wendy in particular was absolutely fantastic, our afternoon tea booking didn’t come through (not the hotel’s fault!) and she pulled everything together so quickly for us.The spa was also really nice and the staff and treatments were great.Chloe and someone whose name I didn’t get on reception (who was on shift on Friday) were also both super helpful and friendly.I can understand where some comments of “outdated” furnishings come from however we loved them, very much felt like a countryside hotel and added to the peacefulness of our stay. My only comments would be that there was some rust in our bathroom, and the shower was a bit weedy. There was however a more modern and powerful handheld shower head in the tub. Also, while breakfast was very tasty, the portions are pretty small for £25. Our breakfast was included so we did eat here both mornings, however we would’ve been disappointed with the portions if we had paid upfront. Saying that, they were filling and if you have bed & breakfast prebooked you can also eat from the continental breakfast area.We had a wonderful stay and really hope to return in the future!

Beautiful grounds and initial impression was great; however, found reception staff a bit abrupt- not very welcoming … maybe a bit busy being one on desk? …

The food was delicious. My husband is a steak lover and he said it was beautifully cooked. The food was well presented and tasty. The value for money was good too. Waiting staff were friendly and helpful.Things I would like to note… for a fine dining experience, I felt the table and chairs were a bit shabby, with chips in woodwork. A tablecloth on the table would have been preferred. Whilst waiting staff were lovely, some did not have a knowledge of what was on the menu, particularly the catch of the day.Otherwise, we had a lovely evening and even received a surprise dessert for our special occasion.
