We had an early dinner at this traditional pub with our family of ten. The food was freshly cooked and tasty. Classic meals and some good veggie/vegan options. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. They don’t take reservations but had plenty of space between 5-7pm on a Friday. It’s a relaxed place and a little scruffy but we thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely go back.

My wife and I visited The Ormidale Hotel for an evening meal. The food was well cooked and delicious. It was good value for money too. The hotel building would benefit from re-decoration, but to be fair, that apart, the staff were polite, gave good service, the chef amended the menu to accommodate my wife who is coeliac, and requires a gluten free meal. Everyone was friendly and eager to give us the meal we requested. There's plenty of car park room.

Really tasty food and multiple vegan options which were much appreciated. We had vegan nachos, vegan Japanese curry and a vegan burger and an amazingly delicious vegan Jaffa cake for pudding! (Some of these were on the specials menu so may be different another time...)It had decent prices and the staff were really friendly as well. It was informal and relaxed and we were very happy to find this pub after a long day of walking. Seems like there's a lot going on with pub quizzes and folk nights etc so would be nice to go back and experience these another time.We realised afterwards that we'd forgotten to leave a tip so thought we'd write you a good review instead! 😊

This is probably the best beer & relaxed eating environment in Brodick. My first visit there was in the 1980s & it still remains true to itself.Forget the tarted up places and go honesty.I'm an out & out meat eater but its veggie choice pleases my veggie friends. The garden is super; until the midges arrive.

A great place for having a good drink, food is also good. Beautiful location. Music/ quizzes several days a week. Unfortunately they take no bookings for a table, especially on quiz nights it can be very busy.

This is an Arran institution and I remember going here when I was a kid 30+ years ago. An old school pub in a great setting, friendly staff and I noticed they have love music nights. Good selection of beers too.

Read the reviews, this is where the locals go. Brilliant atmosphere, food (always judge a place by its steak pie) was unbelievable. Steak pie uber meaty. Nice beer, great local malts and a really friendly place to visit.

We were on the island for a Camra social and were there with the group presenting an award to the hotel and the pub for being in the good beer guide for the last 40 years. The pub was fantastic and a must see if you're on the island.
