It was quite a secret hot spring and the atmosphere was great. You can also see a nearby waterfall within a few minutes' walk.Although it is written on the website, there are some areas that are closed during the winter, so please check beforehand.I think you will have a hard time if you are not used to snowy roads. The mountain path from the Gero area is particularly scenic, but long and tiring.

We stayed for one night and two meals during the fall foliage season.Good thing・There is a footbath and a private bath, so you can enjoy the hot springs all the time from check-in until morning.・Lounge and relaxing space◎・There are rice balls for dinner (200 yen each)・Samue (samue) is worn inside the facility.・Walkable to municipal hot springs・Each person can receive 2 ice lolliesWhat was disappointing・The landlady and owner have an oppressive attitude・As others have written, there are many strict rules.・The carbonation of the highball I ordered for dinner was too weak (almost mixed with water)・There are many additional orders and drinks are out of stock (they are not removed from the menu)・There are no menus, and even though the dishes are made with seasonal ingredients, there are no explanations, so you can't enjoy them.-The staff's children are walking around and are noisy (I can hear the landlady getting angry at the children)・Whenever you ask a staff member a question, the answer is always “I will check.”- No food or drink allowed to be brought in (fees apply if brought in)I went there with high expectations as the prices were on the high side, but I felt like it wasn't worth it.There's nothing special about it either. The food and hot springs are good, but the inn itself and service are average.

The young proprietress is really working hard. The kids are doing well too.Fresh, slightly hot spring water. The private bath is also spacious. Each seat in the restaurant has a large hibachi, so you can eat skewered rockfish while it's still warm.Other dishes are served in order, so they are warm.

First, you can't use credit cards.Cash or transfer laterNot suitable for overnight stay before climbingBreakfast is only served at 8:30, and it's plentiful and delicious, so even if you eat it in a hurry, you'll only be leaving around 9:30.It takes 4 hours to get to Gonoike, and I'm wondering if I can get back to the trailhead when the municipal open-air bath is open. The staff's response is good. The lounge was also very relaxing.I probably spent more time relaxing in the lounge drinking coffee than relaxing in my room. The family bath was the largest I've ever been in.Too spacious for two couplesThe men's bath also had a sleeping bath, which was quite nice. The photo is of the men's bathThe food was delicious and plentiful. When I went for a walk at night and went to the trailhead, the starry sky was beautiful.Nigorikawa Onsen, which I wanted to visit once, was very nice.

I was satisfied with everything: the food, the utensils, the hot springs, the room, and the atmosphere.Located at the foot of Mt. Ontake, surrounded by the sky, wind, greenery, and tranquility, I was able to refresh myself with the highly effective effects of the hot springs. It was a warm welcome to see the host carefully guide each guest.
