Initially I only booked 1 night as a pitstop in Sendai before travelling to Hokkaido, but then I ended up extending my stay with 4 nights because I loved the people and the atmosphere so much. The manager had a very calm and welcoming vibe, and he invited me to all kinds of activities such as playing Overcooked, going out eating, and cooking gyoza. There were no plans involved; It all happened so dynamically and effortlessly. This is exactly the same type of vibe I had with the other guests I met there. We would spontaneously go somewhere and do something together. For a solo traveller like me, this was bliss. I probably made some friends for a lifetime.More pragmatically speaking:Location is from walking distance to Sendai main train station, convenient stores, supermarket, and all kinds of restaurants.Rooms had everything I needed in them, and a loved the hardness of the beds. These beds were a bit harder than I usually find in Japan. Though, in some nooks and crannies, like behind the beds, it hadn't been cleaned in a long while. At first, it wasn't evident to me who the staff were since it wasn't explicitly pointed out, but I quickly caught on to it the next morning when I saw who were cleaning the common areas. I didn't need to ask for much, but when I did, they were always happy to help.

Great for cat lovers. The very annoying thing is that there’s no locker for your bags! Only a small one for a few valuables.

+ Good location, cute cats, affordable option for accommodation- Cat litter trays were not emptied all day so the smell was really bad, duvet covers weren’t changed between guests, common room area dirty.

Amazing experience!!!! <3 I was the very first guest at this beautiful hostel. The place was really well put together, the staff were amazing and very friendly. They made my experience much better and i really connected with them. I look forward to coming back here when i come back to japan just too see the staff(New friends). Its crazy to see how i was originally going to stay at the apartment before. Then the host told me about this when i arrived and i immediately joined and became the first guest. It was amazing to hang out with the host's friends and everyone who was there. All the amenities offered great and quiet location. Very convenient area too :)

Several thing were broken including a sink, shower, and the lock to my room. They need a deep clean of the shower and a few other areas. There is also a friendly cat so if you're seriously allergic don't stay here.

I've stayed in this hostel for two nights, I slept very well. You can control the temperature of the room yourself, which I appreciate. …
