I wanted to participate in Yuntaku on Taketomi Island, so I chose Obama-so where Yuntaku is held. It's a guesthouse on the island, but to sum it up, it's very good. First, I arrived at the inn in the morning and left my luggage there. There was a lot of information at the inn, and it said that if you called Himawari Bicycle, they would bring it to the inn, so I ordered a bicycle as well (Himawari Bicycle seems to be the cheapest on the island, 1500 yen a day). We rode around the island on a bicycle and returned to our accommodation in the evening. There are two showers to wash off your sweat, and shampoo and body soap are provided. The room was 4.5 tatami mats in size, but it wasn't a problem for two people, and you could use the air conditioner for 90 minutes for 100 yen, so it was comfortable even in summer. Some rooms are separated from the neighbors by a sliding door, so there may be quite a bit of noise, so if you don't like that kind of thing, avoid staying in guesthouses.Dinner starts at 6pm and includes tuna sashimi, fuchampuru, vermicelli, miso-pickled bitter gourd, and fried shrimp and fish. In terms of content, it's home-cooked food, but Okinawan dishes such as fuchanpuru are especially delicious with a tropical feel, and the soki in the soup is also very soft, so I think most people will like the dishes. Rather than traveling to a tropical country and spending a lot of money on lavish cuisine, eating food with a local feel will make you feel the meaning of coming to the island. After dinner and a little rest, I went to the garden and found myself playing Yuntaku. On this day, there were a lot of people who love remote islands and had spent several nights on Hateruma Island and Iriomote Island, and some of them even brought awamori, called the phantom awamori from Hateruma Island, as well as sanshin. There were two people who were there, and they had a session right in front of me, and it was very lively. I brought awamori with me from Ishigaki Island, but the inn's cafeteria sells beer, shochu high, and snacks, as well as juice from vending machines, so you can buy it locally and participate in Yuntaku. Perhaps because there were so many people who liked Usagi Ni Kaku remote islands, it was fun to hear all kinds of stories, and even though I met them for the first time, everyone was very kind, which probably reflects the atmosphere of Taketomi Island. It was a great night as we all sang shimauta along with the sanshin.Additionally, you can use two washing machines and one dryer for a fee, which helps you save on changing clothes. Detergent is also provided, so just bring some 100 yen coins. The price is 7,000 yen including dinner and breakfast, so I'm grateful for the reasonable price, and if I come to Taketomi again, I'd like to stay here. However, according to the people staying at the inn, it is extremely rare for Sanshin to be played and everyone is as excited as they were this time, and to begin with, Yuntaku itself is not held as much as it used to be. We were very lucky to have so many passionate remote island enthusiasts gather this time, and we are grateful to everyone who was there.

We stayed for three nights, but the food was delicious and we had unlimited awamori, so we were very satisfied. The room is small and there is a wall outside the window? I felt a bit pressured, but I didn't go back to my room most of the time and spent the night relaxing and drinking in the garden, so it didn't really bother me. There is no customer service, and the distance is just right, so it's comfortable. The welcome drink, Seek Arthur Juice, was so delicious that I will never forget it.I don't recommend it for people who are looking for a luxury trip, but I highly recommend it for people who want to enjoy their trip without any inconvenience. I want to go again someday.

It is an inexpensive, one-story traditional Japanese room. Shochu with a delicious meal? Old sake? It came with a bottle, but I didn't drink it. Thank you for providing a shuttle to the port.

If you want to enjoy Taketomi Island, choose this inn. The rice is delicious, so we recommend the meal plan. It's an old-fashioned building (which is good) but everything has a clean feel to it.This is a great accommodation to recommend.

Traveled alone to Taketomi Island in mid-May, stayed for one night. In conclusion, it was a very good guesthouse.I expected it to be more inconvenient since it was a guesthouse on a remote island, but there was nothing inconvenient.First of all, it's so clean that you can't believe it's a guesthouse! The room, toilet, and shower room. I think this is maintained not because of the structure of the building, but because the owner and all the staff take great care in cleaning it. It's on a different level compared to other guesthouses. And the food is also great! He writes the name of each dish on the whiteboard each time. There are many things you can't eat in the Kanto region, so it's fun and delicious. He is an extremely good cook! You can also get second helpings of rice. They lend you hangers and there is space to dry your clothes. There is also a washing machine and detergent available. There is a small shop in the cafeteria (until 8:00pm), which also sells beer, sours, potato chips, and cup noodles. There are also vending machines with soft drinks, which is convenient.Convenient location too. Taketomi Tourist Center, where you can rent bicycles and take water buffalo tours, is also nearby. The owner is not a very talkative person, but I was happy that he talked to me and was attentive to me as I was traveling alone. There is also a Yuntaku space, but my only regret was that there were so few guests when I stayed there that I couldn't use it. . I would definitely like to visit you again when I go to Taketomi Island. Next time I will come with my family!

I visited Taketomi Island for the first time. There were several guesthouses, but something caught my attention and I decided to stay here, which turned out to be the right choice.I fell into the illusion that I too had moved to Taketomi Island, and thought that this was Ryukyu time. I wanted to see the stars, but unfortunately the sky was cloudy so I couldn't see them, but I was able to enjoy the atmosphere even without looking at the stars. It's hard to explain in words what's so good about it, but I guess you could call it a sense of security, like coming back to your parents' home.Arriving at the port in the morning by boat, going around town in an oxcart, and just wandering around the island, walking along Kondoi Beach and the forest while stepping on the white sand on the road, it was a place that made me feel glad I had come. . I will definitely go again.

The location is very good, next to the ox cart!I was very happy to receive such polite and kind customer service. The shared showers and toilets were clean, and I was able to enjoy Taketomi Island in a relaxed manner.I previously stayed at Hoshinoya on Taketomi Island, and while Hoshinoya is good, I enjoyed Obamaso more! It's a nice guesthouse. I'll come back later.

This guest house is run by a elderly couple. I don't expect they can speak English but at least a respectful attitude. No smile and not responsive when you 'suimase' them. This is the worst service that I have ever encountered in Japan. Room is clean and tide but still they left me a bad experience

This is an inn where you can experience life on Taketomi Island. There is a hammock in the garden, so you can doze off at night while looking at the stars.
