We had a lovely stay here with Jerome and Hanako for about three weeks. We learned new things about permaculture, cooked with veggies from the garden and even got to have some downtime at the local onsen. Great stay! Contact them for training opportunities.

A wonderful find! It is a beautiful, unique property. Jerome and Hanako are wonderful hosts and made us feel like family. The bamboo forest and organic farm made it extra interesting. The village is charming and only minutes from Nara Park. Highly recommended!

I stayed with Jerome and Hanako for 2 weeks and had a wonderful time there! They are both interesting and inviting people. Jerome taught me more about permaculture and how a foodforest works. Hanako let me taste delicious dishes and desserts made from the vegetables, fruits etc we picked from the garden. It is also a quiet and peaceful place and at the same time very close to the atmospheric old town of Nara (15 minutes by bike) and beautiful hiking trails, which makes it an ideal location. I´m very grateful that I could stay there and I can definitely recommend their place! 😊

A friend in Tokyo told me about Jerome's Food Forest in Nara. This house is located about 15 minutes by taxi or bus from Nara Station, and is an old Japanese house where you can stay overnight. You can also see the beautiful Japanese garden from the living room.Jerome grows a variety of vegetables in his field, and he made us a vegetable basket containing a variety of vegetables that are not often seen in Japan. The vegetables, grown using permaculture methods that do not use pesticides or chemical fertilizers, were very delicious. I would like to stay here again when I come to Nara!

I didn't think I would arrive in a place with so much charm. Upon arrival, we pass alongside a charming shrine, to arrive in a traditional Japanese house full of history. An incredible garden, crops for all tastes.A very big thank you for this wonderful time spent with you.
