One of the worst seminar hotels in a long time. The location on Lake Chiemsee is very nice, but this hotel is plagued by a plague of mosquitoes because the doors are open and almost all rooms are inhabited with mosquitoes, at least at this time of year. The hotel rooms and seminar rooms do not have air conditioning and especially the rooms that face the lake towards the sun become extremely warm, so that you are forced to open the windows to make the room temperature bearable.Although the windows have mosquito screens, they have several gaps and are not tight. At least during my stay, several seminar participants were quite loud in the outdoor area until after midnight, making it difficult to fall asleep.Unfortunately, the rooms facing the street are quite noisy due to the busy traffic. The breakfast is okay but nothing special and the baked goods are baked in-house. The food in the buffet provided was not to my taste. Unfortunately it was overcooked and not freshly prepared. It's hard to relax when you're having breakfast with a vacuum cleaner vacuuming between your legs at 7:30 a.m. and the leaf blower is roaring in the garden from 8:00 a.m. onwards. For me, this behavior is completely incomprehensible and not hospitable, especially when the stay is advertised as being relaxing.

We, a small family: two adults, a six-year-old child, needed an overnight stay from Friday to Saturday because of a family celebration in nearby Prien. Bridge day, also the last Oktoberfest weekend, means limited selection and higher prices. Luckily, the Hotel Aiterbach still had a (family) room available, which we booked immediately. There is just enough space, but not ideal with a child over two floors (attic room on the second floor in the main house). The child sleeps on the entrance level, the parents sleep one floor up under the roof via the spiral staircase. There is a cot for smaller children on the entrance level, which makes the space even more limited and increases the risk of hitting your head on the spiral staircase in the room. When we asked immediately after check-in (around 2:30 p.m.) to move the folding sofa for our six-year-old ready for bed (there was no bedding in the room) and to remove the small children's bed from the room, this was agreed upon until we returned 11:30 p.m. after our family celebration, unfortunately not received despite confirmation. Otherwise, the room is nice and clean, the bathroom is spotlessly clean, modern and functional, everything is not too big and, despite the location facing the street, very quiet. At breakfast, the tables in the large breakfast rooms were unfortunately all occupied for the three of us due to the "individual" seating of the other guests, so we moved to a small, charming, quiet side room. We were happy to take the longer route to the rich and well-stocked breakfast buffet, but unfortunately we kept running out of things like small spoons, butter and egg cups, so we had to keep asking the busy and committed staff for more supplies. We also had to ask for hot chocolate for our children because the fully automatic coffee machine doesn't offer this selection. Despite the helpful staff, it is always annoying for both parties to have to ask. It is possible that staff were unavailable at short notice, which we understand, but for the room price of 150€/night in my opinion it would have been possible. after being able to walk a bit more smoothly. Location on the lake with spacious grounds is great, but unfortunately some of it was under water due to all the rain. Nevertheless, a recommendation for the pretty, characterful "Artist's House" on Lake Chiemsee!

The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. We visited the hotel with two children. It happened and we checked in and checked out together with two other families. I noticed a different attitude to us who we were not German to the other families who were German. Even to children. The other children were given a free book and sweets while ours were not. I could easily go again if the behaviour were other. But no thanks. Make sure to ask for the Wifi password because to us they don't even told and there is not any information for that at the room.

After a cool reception, we moved into our room in the annex building. Unfortunately we had to air it out first because it didn't have a pleasant smell (siphon). There was also no possibility for three guests to attend dinner in the evening. At 10:00 p.m. there is absolute silence at night, which will be reported as posted if non-compliance is observed. The big advantage of this accommodation is the large lakefront property.
