Very family-run hotel, in a very central location for city tours.

The reception was not manned until 10 p.m. as discussed. When I called waiting at the door, I was told that check-in was only possible until 8 p.m., which contradicted the information in booking. Eventually I was able to check in, but that was my last visit.

We chose the hotel because of the name and because it seemed to offer the best value for money in this area.We were greeted very friendly at reception. Information on room key (card) handling.Nice stay. That's it.The room itself also offers the bare essentials that a hotel room has. But more in the austerity program. Quite shabby. Carpet unkempt. The room was quite spacious. The beds are fine. Free sockets by the bed. The location of the room is quiet and faces the courtyard.Danger. Stairs included. But it is also pointed out.The location of the hotel is great. Small side street from Kurfürstendamm. The !!!! shopping mile. Walking distance to the S Bahn and Memorial Church.

Price/performance only partially satisfied! We booked a room a year in advance for 216.00 (3 nights). That was okay for us - also for the hotel. We booked a second double room for the family for the same period and room category six months before arrival. The price was 405.00 euros. The price/performance is not right at all. No elevator, no breakfast and due to the construction work in the house, the stairwell to reception was very dirty. During our entire stay we didn't notice any construction work, but no one vacuumed the stairwell in between. There was a counter in front of the house with garbage lying all around it. Of course, we understand that dirt occurs where work is being done, but firstly we believe that no work was done during this period and secondly, if there was - you should keep the entrance to the hotel and the path to reception clean after work. No matter what the price per night in the hotel is.

The location is great. My room is good and the bathroom is also good. The shower head could be a little bigger, but I'm satisfied. My request for an extra pillow was dealt with very quickly.
