The room was beautiful and the location is perfect. Everything was walking distance in Amsterdam and it is right across the street from the train station if you want to go out of the city. The only downside was that breakfast was not included in the room cost, but we ate out most mornings anyway.

The hotel is in an ideal location for a city trip to Amsterdam. The room was nicely decorated & everything was very clean. However, we almost missed our train because our room cards didn't work on the day of departure (we had to go downstairs to reception twice until we asked someone to come upstairs with the master key because reactivation didn't work twice)

This hotel exceeded my expectations. For such a low price, I didn't expect such a clean, tidy and overall very nice hotel. The beds were comfortable, no noise from outside or from other rooms. The staff were very polite and welcoming. My 6th stay in amsterdam and this hotel has been, by far, the best!

Great location very close to the station. Hotel was beautifully presented but room decor was disappointing (no lighting in parts of room) so had to make coffee with a phone torch. Also had poor view out of window.

Superb, cozy hotel, well located (in the center of Amsterdam, near the central station, overlooking a small canal) and quiet.Chic and spacious room.The breakfast with the possibility of ordering waffles, pancakes or omelettes is perfect and the staff is welcoming and friendly. The only downside is the wifi which is not very “stable”.

The hotel is ideally located, close to the station, in a small street that is a little quieter than the others.The welcome is very warm, the hotel is truly magnificent. I really liked the decoration.We arrived before the check-in time but we still got our room straight away.We had room 808, it is just above the entrance, and therefore you can hear what is happening outside, so I recommend earplugs for a quieter night, but it is pretty normal with this location.Everything was very clean, and the bedding was really very comfortable.I loved my stay at this hotel.We had breakfast one morning and everything was very good.However, we could note some possible improvements, there was not really storage for our suitcases, and we would have greatly appreciated having a small fridge in our room.However, this had no impact on the quality of our stay.I highly recommend this hotel, the experience was magnificent and the employees very friendly.

I stay for 4 days. During my stays I couldn’t sleep because above my room somebody always working at night, start at 11 o’clock nearly midnight till around 6 o’clock early morning.Drilling, bumping and dragging something in the floor, walking back and forth…Even though I reported my problem through email, no response. And informed to front desk.But still happened. Very terrible and disappointed.

I stayed here for 2 nights on a business trip. The location of the hotel is great since it’s only 8mins walking from the main central station. There’s a lot of restaurants and food options. The hotel is comfortable but nothing outstanding. The staff at the desk not helpful or friendly.

From the staff to the small quirky hotel itself one is provided with an excellent stay. Ideally situated on a quite small canal this hotel provided us with a calm, relaxing stay. From the excellent breakfast to the relaxing honor bar we could not have been more delighted with our experience and stay at the MAI hotel.

We enjoyed several nights here while staying in Amsterdam. The hotel is in a great location and the staff were always helpful. We enjoyed our room (the bed was very comfy). My only reason for 4 stars vs 5 on the rooms section is the lighting. The room and bathroom were very dim.
