Great hotel!! Great location, room was very spacious and well laid out. Enmanuel on the front desk is a great guy! Very helpful, looked after our luggage before our check in time to allow us to go and enjoy our day, and then looked after it again on our last day after check out!! He is a credit to the Hotel!!Will be booking again for our next visit!!

In our opinion, the hotel only scores points because of its location. The furnishings in the rooms leave a lot to be desired. Room service only upon request at reception. Air conditioning does not work or is not noticeable. We cannot recommend the hotel.

Contrary to general opinions, for us everything went very well. Stay from Monday evening to Thursday morning. Very clean, quiet, comfortable, pretty room. Very pleasant staff.Very well located on the main street of the Red Light District with all the surrounding shops (restaurant, bar, cofeeshop, etc.)Small -: very straight staircase but it is everywhere in Amsterdam these are old buildings very high and not very wide so not suitable for people with leg problems.Very affordable prices. It seems that people want to have a hotel like Anantara in this area at a cheap price 😅

Our stay here was great .Hotel is very neat and clean and best location as well .it's 4 star bcz there is no lift but it was manageable. Staff was very friendly as well .Room size is not too big .It's conjusted .Main problem was washroom shower as it took almost 10min for hot water .

Incredible! Such a beautiful and chic hotel, with wonderful spacious rooms and lovely friendly reception staff - Right in the heart of Amsterdam! And a location that is convenient for absolutely everything: shopping, sightseeing, pretty outdoor lunch cafes, or even a nice morning coffee walk along the sunny canal. Not to mention being right in the middle of all the interesting history, of the Red Light District.So thank you Hotel 83 - for a beautiful trip and a welcoming stay in Amsterdam!

Top staff, a nice warm feeling upon entering. Room very comfortable and user friendly. The location is central to everything.Had a bit of trouble with the renovation (during the day) but the hotel resolved it nicely!Very highly recommended!

The hotel is very well located and the rooms are large with a bathroom included. The price for Amsterdam is fine, the bad thing is that the beds are super uncomfortable, I think there is no spring that cannot be keyed, for me they have not changed the mattresses since they bought them...The breakfast is not very varied but it is good, but they do not have lactose-free milk or other types of milk such as almond, soy...@destinosasequibles

Staff was lovely, but the room was a bit dirty and smelled like chlorine, the bathroom (which was an additional 50 euros per night since the double we booked for €250 didn’t include one) was quite dirty.For 300 a night I’d expect more. Also the room was on the 3rd floor with no elevator, getting up there was a nightmare, even without luggage.Location is fine if you like to stay in the red light district.All in all I would not return.

The stay was appropriate to the situation, turbulent and unclean.The reception was sufficient. When we moved into the room, there were strange hairs in the bed, there was a strong smell of chlorine and there were clear signs of decay everywhere in the room.There was only ice-cold water in the room, we asked for it to be checked and it was taken care of, but unfortunately we still only had cold water.The atmosphere was uncomfortable and definitely not worth the price of the room.The lobby leads one to believe that the rooms look just as nice, but they are more reminiscent of a prison cell, spartanly furnished, the shower didn't even have a curtain so that when you showered, the entire bathroom flooded, well luckily there was it just cold water.

A mini bed for two people. An impudence. It seems as if a single room was simply rented out for two.The bathroom is a disaster. No shower curtain (not even something temporary), so the entire bathroom is flooded after showering. The problem seems to be known. There is already a mop in the bathroom (maybe it wouldn't, but it would simply be forgotten)The door to the bathroom is stuck badly. I had to really push myself against it every time to open it. The door to the hallway doesn't go all the way to the floor. About two centimeters are missing from the floor. This makes it impossible to ignore any noise from the hallway.Unfortunately there was no room service either (two nights). The mattress is extremely worn out. There was a long hair on the floor in the bathroom. The toilet seat goes up every time the toilet lid is opened. The heater is super rusty.All in all, a disgrace!Only the location is good (i.e. central, but in the middle of the red light district)

Power cut to space heaters next to the shower. Water flowing throughout the bathroom into the bedroom. 2 catastrophic days. Rooms 🤢 there is no room service and in addition they do not serve breakfast in the establishment. You have to go to a room behind the hotel. So false information they do not do breakfast the rooms are unsanitary except the one in the photos on their site. We stayed two days in the cold and the manager didn't want to know anything, he was the one who didn't understand English….they gave us another room but still without heating and water running throughout the room and what's more separate beds! The neighbors in the rooms were pissed and everyone was angry but no one could do anything! So this is not a hotel but a boui-boui so you might as well take a camping tent at least we know what to expect. Attention ! When you return, the reception is very pretty but you shouldn't go any further!

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Grotty, dirty, disgusting. Outrageous how they have not been closed down. Filthy bathroom, one example is snot on the wall. I have no words for the place. Rusty old radiators that don’t work. Electricity kept going. Owner was so rude to talk to. Straight on the defensive - Her answer was go book a different hotel then. Never again and hopefully this review will save someone else having to go through the torture of the place.

A real fraud!!!The hotel when you arrive seems like one thing they charge you as soon as you arrive and the best thing is when you get to the room. There is so much humidity that you slip on the floor, you pay for heating and it doesn't even work, they give you a tiny radiator to connect. It smells so much like bleach that you get dizzy. The lady at the reception is rude and only knows how to scream, she doesn't give us solutions. The walls are made of paper, you can hear everything. The horrible and disgusting sink. On top of booking calling and telling her to give us the money back and the aunt screaming and saying no!! Very unpleasant
