Yes the hotel is a little run down but the staff are very friendly. Nice clean fresh linen, a sea view, I cannot understand why all the hate of this place. Just needs new carpets and a fresh lick of paint.  …

This hotel was booked as a last minute resort after our original bnb kicked us out after loosing electricity, if I’m honest with you I wish I just went home and didn’t waste a £120 on the room. …

I stayed here for 2 nights with 3 other work colleagues. The young man (host) was very good and helpful however the place was very rundown he told me they started managing the place only 2 months ago.My first room absolutely wreaked of bio luckily upon request the young gentleman gave me a different room. I stayed in room 107 it was mediocre at best there was a balcony a chair a TV, a rundown wardrobe and a small chest of drawers. The bed was absolutely uncomfortable very soft and the pillow which was around 10 mm in width was really not worthy of use.The toilet/shower was not good, the flush had to be pulled 3 or 4 times before it actually got rid of waste (yes that waste lol). I don't even know if it had been cleaned prior to our/my arrival (I don't want to go in to graphic detail I'm sure you might understand). The shower was ok and the sink was also ok however there was a non functional extractor fan and oh did I mention the light kept flickering and stayed off for five seconds and on for a split second. Now for the positives. A functioning TV, a working kettle with a brew kit and it's only a short walk from the beach. The young Egyptian chap was very kind however the place was very below par.I guess you get what you pay for. I paid 70 pounds for two nights which is cheap.I can safely say I won't be visiting this place again. Thanks for the memories.

We stayed in September 2021. It was definitely an 'Experience'. I booked 2 sea view rooms, got 2 rear rooms. Glass in door smashed. Lift out of order. Reception non existent. Smelly, musty rooms. Smashed sockets. Bare wires in shower. Cracks in walls. Couldn't shut window or even curtains. Stained bed sheets. Stained chairs. AVOID at ALL Costs. Its not even suitable for homeless people. It needs demolishing. Staff terrible.

Well I was very disappointed with this place, the room was a mess with wallpaper peeling off the walls, carpet filthy, light not secured to the wall, seriously needs a good clean.afyer complaint I was told cannot have a refund but can be moved into there sister hotel 2 doors down which was still being renovated with no active live fire alarm. To be honest I will never stay here again. If your looking for a place with no worries about the conditions of it then go for it but personally I would avoid it

Let's be honest here , the Chatsworth was once a fine and expensive hotel facing the Skegness sea front , Now with 2018 brochures still in the foyer and an almost this hotel is really not ready to open feel , we felt a pang of disappointment, tempered with an wonderment at how good this place must have been in its heyday, 2021 very tired decor , very basic rooms and with no food on offer or a working bar you have to feel the owners have just decided budget hotel it will be .Such a shame , the gentleman on reception was excellent well mannered and couldn't be more welcoming, No complaints there, The room was big but the stated queen bed was just two singles pushed together with a double duvet on top ,too small for the bed .The tv was tiny , we had trouble seeing the screen properly and some recent work in the room left brick dust in a pile on the floor, it was a good price for the room but single glazed and this followed ,For approximately 3 hours cars and motorbikes roared up and down the seafront , seems to be a severe lack of silencers in Skegness and not a sign of the police , ragging up and down a seaside town and really disturbing back fires and roars from unsilenced engines,If Skegness want to up their game then this behaviour must be stopped, We stay in hotels all around the uk and this was noise beyond belief , I post this as a warning to any one wanting to stay , be warned its anti social behaviour and noise is high .

I don’t write reviews but this was a must, I don’t like to be hard on places because I know they are just trying to make a living but there was way to many things wrong with this room for me to not make a complaint. When we first got in there it smelt great and clean enough but then we sat on the bed which turned out to be broken and the mattress was solid! We then looked in the draws and there was someone else dirty underwear and towels in there! I had to hold the shower head when showering cuz it was so high it shot over the shower door and wouldn’t move down or anything! Then the shower door was completely broken so the water would just go all over the floor. The cold tap on the sink was not attached to the actual sink. Our view was of someone else window which they could see straight into our room so we had to keep the curtains closed. The staff was friendly enough and the room came with all the necessary stuff but overall I feel like we got catfish by the photos they show online and are not happy. Definitely not worth the price I paid.

As a person who used to travel around the country for work, I have stayed in a few places that I would not stay in if it had been booked for me, so After reading all the reviews I was expecting the worse but was surprised as not as bad as they said, my room was small but tidy and had been painted recently, OK the bar and restaurant were closed but as explained staff problems, the man on the reception was helpful and polite, and said it was a work in progress, OK it needs a bit of TLC, but for a one night stay I would use again. Not the best but certainly not anywhere near as bad as the reviews.
