We were a large group, booking 2 lodges and 4 pitches.||Lodges were individually furnished and had lovely views. Beware the decking is very slippery when wet.||Facilities were plentiful and clean. …

It’s hard to overstate how good Howgill lodge was (camping). The pitches are individually designated, on a tiered system meaning a flat, week defined, sizeable pitch. Service was great, with a well stocked shop for essentials. …

Great size pitch, totally level and tucked into the trees with a view across the countryside. Really clean shower/toilet block and the shop is very well stocked for any essentials you've forgotten. We have a great stay and will definitely be back.

Liked: Friendly and welcoming staff who let us choose our pitch from a selection as the site was quiet; excellent clean facilities throughout this well-tended site. Very peaceful with lovely views of the surrounding countryside and fabulous walking from the site. Good pub about 1 mile walk and tasty bakes sold next door.

Quite a tricky approach with a motorhome over 7 metres but well worth it. Pitch 103 has stunning views is level and next door to the water tap. The dogs were entertained by the rabbits and Alpacas in the adjoining field. …
