We had a great stay at the hotel, its a quirky old house don't expect modern. We had a spacious room which was very clean and tidy. My wife really rated the evening meal and gave it 9/10 me 7/10. …

Went with my partner for a weekend trip and it exceeded expectations, good value for money. Location close to Cheddar Gorge (15min) by car and to the beach (20 min). The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Spa was quite good we went to the swimming pool and the steam room which was great. We also booked a couples massage that was super relaxing, we felt so refreshed and rested I would definitely recommend as it was a very good price for a 1 hour massage. The bar and restaurant are a bit pricey but it was good food and lovely atmosphere. The outside area had gorgeous views too. Service is amazing and attentive. The hotel is old style and historic, almost medieval, which we personally liked. If you expect super luxury and modern hotel then its probably not the place but then again the price is amazing for everything offered. Probably one of the best 3⭐️ hotel we have been to.The only downside to our room was the curtains as they did let some light in which in the morning felt quite bright.

The hotel is dated and has lots of quirky corridors. We were in Room 18 (up in the attic) and due to the building layout of the room hubby bumped his head on the ceiling during the night making his way to the bathroom. …

A very welcoming hotel with a well managed fitness gym area which never got too busy. The checkin process for the pool looked like a faff but it was well worth it and we could see how we benefitted from the pool never being too busy.  …

Facilities clean, staff interested and helpful. Hotel is old and so very creaky - there are a lot of stairs everywhere! But we had booked a number of rooms as using hotel as a base for a 30 year school reunion, and it was perfect as had a good communal seating area, attached a bar, plus it had spa facilities for us to relax in.It was pretty central to our needs as we were only needing to get to Winscombe and Cheddar nearby, but they are quite little country roads to be able to get to it.But an amazing view out over the Somerset levels to Brent Knoll, even when watching the rain rolling in!Good facilties and breakfast, recommend for business and pleasure.

Very nice clean comfortable room, good breakfast with plenty of choice, evening meal was average, most of the staff were helpful, there is no porterage but one staff member helped my friend with her luggage, one waitress though appeared to throw a tantrum through the kitchen door which did not look too good in the dining area. The hotel is a little out of the way but for a 3* it was very good.

Stayed at the Webbington as part of a wedding and cannot fault the staff. They worked tirelessly throughout the day. However, the room was very dated, bed uncomfortable, pillows cheap and flat and even though we had a suite the bathroom smelled damp and we could see daylight between the window frame and wall. The breakfast was average, again staff were exceptional but the offer not so. Would not recommend this hotel. Shame as it could be amazing.
