I stayed here a few weeks ago as I needed a place to stay before moving into the University just down the road from this hotel. Good pricing for three nights. Service was good and the staff were very friendly to speak with. They even helped me with my luggage which was very nice and were able to keep my bags secure after checking out when I was moving into my flat. Breakfast was good. Just wish the Jet Lag had not messed with my stomach, then I could’ve enjoyed it more. The only issues I had overall were the shower and the TV. The shower water pressure was so low when the hot water came on that it almost shut off completely. So I was not able to take a shower. For the TV, I just wish it was a few inches bigger so I could see better. Other than those minor issues, this wasn’t a bad place to stay in.

This has to be the dirtiest Travelodge I have ever stayed in.Check in went smoothly but the room I was put in had stains in the carpet, food remnants on the wall and looked as though it had not been hoovered around the edges. The shower curtain had the last visitors make up on it, the toilet had a build up of grime in the bowl and there were some lovely hand print smudges on the bathroom mirror. The shower is great if you like one that turns hot to cold constantly.A colleague of mine stayed in a room which had bed bugs, she got bitten and the staff did nothing to resolve the issue. They were trying not to take responsibility for them.Another colleague of mine was checked into a room which was already occupied. And another colleague had been told their booking length was shorter than what they had actually booked.I would not recommend staying at this hotel and am immensely disappointed at the lack of effort and professionalism from the team. Do better.

Disastrous Check-In ExperienceHad the misfortune of booking a stay at this hotel with my family. Despite booking and paying in advance, our experience was a complete disaster.Upon arrival, we were informed that no rooms were available, despite our confirmed reservation. The staff nonchalantly suggested we move to another hotel, without any apology or explanation. We were shocked and frustrated, having already paid for our stay. When I raised my voice and after waiting for over an hour, we were finally given a room key. However, when we arrived at the room, we found someone already occupying it! Unbelievable. We were forced to return to the lobby and wait another hour for a resolution. Eventually, we were relocated to another hotel, which was not our original choice. The staff seemed unconcerned about the inconvenience they caused and offered no compensation or gesture of goodwill.Avoid this hotel at all costs, especially if traveling with family. Their booking system and customer service are severely flawed.

The building is nice as you'd expect for a new hotel but I had two of the worst nights sleep I've ever had because of the heat in this hotel. There is zero ventilation in the rooms or the corridors, there is one window and it barely opens, there is no air movement at all, inexcusable to be honest, they did provide two fans so they know it's an issue, such an oversight when designing and building the hotel, the room was easily 30c, unbearably hot. Also, the rooms weren't cleaned during the stay, that might be a Travelodge thing but would have been nice to have bins emptied and fresh towels.

A newer Travelodge in East London which is worth considering if you’re looking for value accommodation. The hotel is a 3 minute walk from the Royal Albert DLR station and is part of a row of hotels in the area. The room is what you would expect for a Travelodge but was clean and perfectly acceptable for the price paid. There is a cafe bar on site that serves breakfast and evening meals.Despite being a recently built building, the decision to not include AC in each room is strange. This won’t be a problem in winter but might be an issue during a summer heatwave. During my stay temperatures were around 14 degrees at night and I slept perfectly well. The room had adequate ventilation and staff have added fans to each room.Staff were warm and helpful.

BE WARNED: Very very loud due to proximity to airport but too warm to close windows. No AC. Cheap, small fan which did nothing to change the room temp. Very difficult to sleep with window open. Large carpark with loud engines and people arriving throughout the night. Would not stay again.

Good size carpark, you have to pay for the privilege to park there, think it's £11 per night!Quick checkTwo lifts to all the floorsMy room was spaciousWalls very marked and stainedNo air con in the room, two small windows.Comes with two fans though!Bathroom is a good sizeBed super comfortable as alwaysWifi was ok not the best considering you have to pay for it!Breakfast is not included but added when you book the room.Evening meal was a let down, nothing like it shows on the menu!Location close to the Excel center but it's a long walk around as they have closed the dockside to get to it!Would stay again when we are in the area if the price is right!

A 3 star is being generous. Broken window on the ground floor, reception on checking-out didn't seem to care when I mentioned it.I have been to a lot, and I mean a fair few Travelodges all over, and I can say whilst the room was decent minus only one towel! I wasn't impressed with the care and service. Nor was I impressed being woken at 7 by the bin collection.Average at best. There's a few hotels along that road that might offer better choice and consideration.
