The Grand Royale Hyde Park is in a less busy part of London but with good access to the Metro so you're not far from the action. There are also many restaurants nearby as well as markets, etc. …

Room was excellent, location superb, and breakfast very good. In contrast to some worrying reviews I had read prior to my stay, the room was not too small, well-designed and equipped for its size, and within this magnificent historical building, with a most regal atmosphere. I very much enjoyed my stay, and felt as though I was staying at a palace. The hotel bar may benefit from being mentioned during check-in by the staff, as it is a lovely room, but seemingly not well visited. This hotel is not fully accessible, and may therefore not be suitable for those with limited mobility (as is frequent for historical buildings).

We booked a room for one night here. The location is excellent. But on arrival they tried to charge us more than double what we’d paid again! Apparently there had been a technical issue and they didn’t want to honour the price that we paid. This is completely illegal and immoral. We thought we’d end up on the streets that night. Other people arrived and had the same issue-they were being told to pay £200 plus extra for one night! A poor polish family seemed confused and traumatised by it.Eventually after 2 hours of waiting for a manager who never appeared, they agreed to honour the prices we’d paid for our room and for the polish people. Everyone else we saw was bullied into paying hundreds of pounds more. They refused us breakfast that we had already paid for tooTerrible experience.

The rooms are quite small which is to be expected in a historic property I think. The staff was very kind and welcoming. The room was clean, housekeeping did a nice job daily. Location was perfect for what we needed. Would definitely stay here again. Air conditioning worked very well, much needed after a long day in the summer exploring the city.

The entire hotel appears it needs to be remodeled. Room was tiny and not what was shown in the photo. It is outdated, dirty, and has a musty smell. The mattress was old and uncomfortable. There was a blanket on the bed but no sheet. …

The Grand Royale Hyde Park is my favorite hotel and my go-to spot whenever I’m in London. Its location is unbeatable – just a one-minute walk from Hyde Park and conveniently close to both Bayswater and Queensway stations, offering quick access to all of London via the main tube lines. What truly draws me in is the hotel’s classic Victorian interior. The timeless style transports me to another era, adding a unique charm to my stay. While the rooms are slightly on the smaller side (as is typical in London), they are exceptionally comfortable. I always feel right at home here and can’t imagine staying anywhere else when I visit this city.

Avoid if you can. Room was terrible. Service was even worse. Not a good experience. Traveled with my wife and first thing we noticed was how dirty and run down the room was. They tried to cover holes in the wall up by putting fake vents over them. The walls and floor were peeling and bed was falling apart. We dropped our stuff in the room and went out for the day. When we returned to the room there was a rancid smell that was overwhelming. Almost like a sewage leak in our room. We checked the bathroom but that was the only part of the room that didn't smell so we knew it wasn't from that. The hotel sent someone up to look and as soon as he walked in he said it smelled horrible and something wasn't right. We asked to change rooms and they said they didn't have anything open. We considered changing hotels but it was late already and it was our last night there so we toughed it out. I thought at least they would give us a discount on the room since it was so bad but that turned out to be impossible. I asked multiple people at the front desk for a discount and they all said they couldn't do it and I had to email the hotel to request something like that.So I emailed them. No response. Emailed again. No response. After multiple failed attempts to get any response I have given up trying to get any sort of communication going. So I would avoid this place and find somewhere worth your time and money. Unless you want to sleep in a run down, sewage infested hotel room.

I stayed here for a couple of nights at the end of a brief vacation. My single room was small but clean, comfortable, and very well insulated against the noise of the city. Great location for accessing the underground and making excursions into the park.

I am currently staying at the Grand Royale Hyde Park Hotel if I could give less than 1 star I definitely would! I checked in Saturday and was given a room so small I didn’t have room for my 3 bags of luggage. I was then moved into a somewhat bigger room and was told that I have one of the best rooms in the hotel.(NOT THE BEST) The rooms have a musty smell and not very clean. On my second night staying in our room the night desk clerk came to our room and told my husband it is almost 1am that we need to turn our TV down it was on 14Volume which isn’t loud at all so we turned it down to 11volume which we could barely here. About 45 minutes later the desk clerk came back to our room knocked on our door I answered the door and he told me it’s almost 2am and he had another complaint our TV was to loud. I tried to explain to him it was on the lowest volume that we could here and he said this is second time I had to come to your room about the TV and he told me to turn it off. This is absolutely ridiculous and very rude. I paid to stay at this hotel and here is the information about the room on their website. It says it has soundproof rooms well don’t tell me to turn my TV off because the room joined to my room can here my TV!! Never again will I stay here when I come back to London this hotel experience made my vacation horrible.Club Double orTwin Room+* HighlightsSoundproofed Rooms Air conditioningFlat-screen TV BathrobesPrivate bathroom Hair dryerElectric kettle Coffee/tea maker¿ Sleeps 2•n 1 Double Bed OR 2 Twin Beds
