I stayed for 4 nights end of August as a solo traveler with a small dog. I parked easily in the Hotel Car Park opposite and looking at parking charges this was a huge bonus.||I was greeted by Louise at reception and checked into my room. …

We spent the weekend here for a family reunion. Parking is free opposite the hotel and we were in room 4 with sea views and a bit more space. The room was a bit tired, especially the bed/mattress but we slept well and the shower was very good. The hotel is very close to Lyme town and seafront, very walkable which is a big bonus as parking in Lyme can be hard when it's busy.Breakfast was included with lots of options and the staff were all super friendly and attentive.

Just spent three nights at this dog-friendly hotel. Although our room was fairly small, it was quite adequate and the sea views over the Town and along Lyme Bay were delightful. There is a terrace and decent size garden, with well spaced tables and easy, free parking in the hotel's car park, on the opposite side of the road. The breakfast and separate restaurant rooms are clean, light and airy. We had enjoyable breakfasts (they ask you to book a time slot, to avoid delays, as there is only one chef) and stayed in one night for supper, which was good and there were a number of other diners. The staff clearly get on well together and were very friendly and helpful. If we are in Lyme in the future, we will definitely return.

We were met by the smell of dirty chip fat and food as we entered. It was dark, damp and cold. Staff were rude and un welcoming. Hotel was dirty and poorly maintained. The rooms were basic at best, dirty and damp. …

Lovely white cotton sheets, shower tray needs a non slip mat and drainage is poor, water temp difficult to control. quirky hotel but not very welcoming, good breakfast. I had a dog (good value at £10) but no dog dishes as promised on the web site.

We unfortunately stayed at The Mariners Hotel, Lyme Regis, for 4 days in Sept 2024 leaving one day early. We stayed in room one, a double with a beautiful sea view and balcony, on the first floor. …
