I stay here often when visiting family. This hotel is very friendly and affordable. Good service, and nice rooms. All the rooms are individual - it doesn't feel like a big uniform chain/franchise. Clean and comfortable. Good breakfast. Would recommend!

Unfortunately this hotel did not live up to our expectations or the price we paid. We were in an attic room at the top of the hotel and it was very small- one side of the bed was against the wall so not really suitable for two. …

I thought this place was a bargain for the price. Yeah some of the decor could do with touching up but it was very clean. My bed was comfortable and the bedding and towels were clean. …

A lovely welcome, room and comfort. For us well worth the money for some comfort. Room spacious, had everything it needed and a very short walk to local pubs and eateries. Would recommend for a short stay, business or travelling alike. 3 star hotel for a reason but no complaints from us. 👍

Rooms were of 3 star hotel quality. Bedding was clean and towels replaced almost daily. Room cleaning was also good. However, carpets were dated and stinks a little including some of the drawers. Chairs were also quite run down although they had character but needed renovating. Parking was free for guests. This hotel is close to the train station and not far from shops on the high street including Waitrose and Sainsbury's. So it is very convenient for visiting nearby cities. It is also quite at night.

The perfect storm!||When I arrived they were not expecting me. Fortunately, I had my booking documents with me and we were able to resolve the matter.||The room was cold. …

I have just completed a 3 night stay here. The hotel is located close to the centre of Kenilworth. It also has a restaurant with vegan options & a bar, although I did not use either of these. My room was very small, but it was also a very reasonable price, so that's understandable. The room had a kettle, bottled water, biscuits, tea & coffee (inc de-caf) & shower products. There were 5 pillows, which was great & also a heater in the room so I could control the temperature. The hot water for the shower took a while to come through, but then was fine. It could be noisy at night from downstairs/reception (avoid room 101) & people talking in the corridor & banging doors. Overall, it was a good stay, minus the noise issue.

We were three couples traveling together and prebooked three superior double rooms with king beds in advance. However upon arrival, the man at the desk (owner?) claimed he did not have three rooms this size left; he gave our room to someone else even after we had called the day before to confirm the reservation. So he said he had to switch one of us to a "slightly smaller" room. However the room was barely big enough for the queen size bed it held; less than half the size of our friends' rooms. Needless to say we were shocked when we opened the door to our room (#103) and saw how ridiculously small it was, and the bathroom was only about 1.5m x 1.5m. As he didn't have any rooms left, we asked for a partial refund, and he offered me a free drink from the bar. Insulted, I declined and asked for a refund for part of our room cost. After much back and forth during which time he lied to us and then tried to blame the switch up on us, he finally offered a £20 refund.Additional notes: there is no air conditioning, the hallways stink from the cooking in the restaurant down stairs (so poor ventilation in kitchen), the hairdryer provided in our room made the smoke detector go off three times, not handicapped accessible.Positive notes: the location was good and the breakfast was good. But all in all, I'd recommend the Holiday Inn down the street.
