Would absolutely recommend this place 100%The service is great the rooms are lovely, spacious with great shower. Check in was simple. We parked at the hotel but this is an extra charge. Parking in Stratford is difficult so probably worth considering. The location of the hotel is great and walking distance to everywhere.Breakfast was a little chaotic but we got seated after about a 5 min wait and the full English was spot on!The pub at the front of the hotel has some great history and we would recommend that too!All in all absolutely 5 star stay

Great location with easy walking distance to shops etc.Parking to rear with limited spaces, but if you arrive early hopefully get a space.Had king-size bed and unfortunately house keeping staff fitted a double duvet in king cover so was just flapping about and barely covered the bed.Complained to staff in the morning and they seemed aware and were polite and apologised. But when the the room costs £200+ it was very poor as this is not a budget hotel. They ensured me this would not happen again, but that's no benefit to me when freezing in the middle of the night.

A nice hotel that is a mixture of ancient and modern. I have a room in the older block and go along winding corridors past interesting memorabilia to get to your room. The rooms are nicely appointed with a shower that has lots of water. There is a fridge in the room, the Internet works well and although there is not built-in air-conditioning an air-conditioning unit is provided.

What is there not to like about this hotel?Perfect location in the heart of Stratford-upon-Avon, 2 minutes walk from the RSC. The hotel is so comfortable, plenty of different places to sit and eat or drink, inside and out. The rooms are very well appointed and very comfortable. And the staff, if overworked, are lovely, helpful, friendly and attentive.

Superb staff, great location, and fabulous breakfast. Great feel to the older part of the hotel. Coffee bar and public bar available. My only gripe, £12.50 per night car parking fee!! Really expensive and unnecessary, in my opinion. Just add it to the room rate. It's such a shame that this ls creeping into hotel stays on a more regular basis at top tourist locations in the UK, similar to the American resort fee.

I had a very friendly call from the hotel a few days before our visit asking if I wanted to stay in the Tudor or Georgian part of the hotel. We went for Tudor. My personal opinion is that it's a real shame the historic nature of the building was not embraced in the decor of the room. The aircon unit was obviously not part of the original interior design plan. There was a sign saying guests are often confused by the heating and cooling system. The presence of a huge fan and aircon unit suggest the room gets hot, and in late September with an overnight temperature of 14C outside the room was 24C. I didn't want to get up and wake my husband by turning on the aircon. I also found the mattress quite hard.In summary, staff were friendly, and the free minibar items were a nice touch. The £234 for the small room was a reflection of the location, which was good, and most if the Stratford hotels we checked out online were expensive.Apparently has a fitness room, we didn't use it.Breakfast was £20 per adult. We opted for one of the manylocal independent cafes instead. The £12 parking was for 24 hours, which was convenient as we'd arrived late afternoon and wanted to have a look around Stratford the following day.

My husband and I stayed here as a last minute getaway. The hotel was very central and was a few minute walk from the historic buildings, the waterfront and high street as well as close to many restaurants. The room was lovely, the bed was huge and offered the usual tea and coffee making facilities. The only negative was the view as we were overlooking a roof but as we didn’t intend spending much time in the room it didn’t impact on our stay. The hotel was very quirky, with lots of different areas to sit, chat and drink. We had breakfast in the dining area, the service was excellent and a wide variety of food available.Overall an excellent hotel and we would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful hotel. We really enjoyed our stay here. Staff really friendly and welcoming couldn't do enough for us. The rooms are gorgeous everything In it we needed. It was my partner birthday and they put a card some chocolate and a little bottle of prosecco in the room for him which was lovely. The breakfast was great lots of choice and cooked and presented well. We will definitely stay here again

Lovely hotel, well placed to explore Stratford-upon-Avon, be aware not all rooms have lift access. Nice garden area to sit and enjoy the weather and a drink or two. Restaurant on site, and pub area.
