Charged extra (cash) on arrival due to booking 2 double rooms but they took it as 1 adult per room instead of how you'd perceive a double as 2 people per room. Was told to either pay it or leave immediately. Apparently it's in their policy, so be careful when booking as they couldn't tell us what their policy even was when questioned just kept repeating about wanting more money.. Rude staff member, just marched off quickly to the room without waiting for us to follow or without saying a word. Doors look like they've been kicked in and don't lock, an easy double push opens the door when it's 'locked'. Continental breakfast is off tasting cheerios, a measly stale croissant (if you're quick enough to get one that is) or toast. Flies covering a window of the building. Shower is powerful but either scalding or freezing and isn't much room in the cubicle at all, ventilation is also very lacking as windows don't open in the room and it doesn't get rid of shower or hot tap steam, shocking.. Bed is uncomfortable. Apparent soundproofed rooms is false advertisement, you can literally hear the next door talking and people walking around the building. TV signal drops repeatedly so don't expect to watch anything. The worst nights stay ever.

Absolutely shocking they can even charge for this place. Avoid at all costs. First impressions were not good with weeds in the driveway, a skip and discarded bbq trays beside the decking. …

Abismal. If I could do Zero I would. Rooms don't lock, just a couple of pushes on the door and it opens. TVs signal drops constantly. We turned up after booking 2 double rooms to be told on the spot he wanted £30 extra because there was 4 of us, who in the right mind would assume a double room is for a single person, obviously this place. Shocking. Beds aren't comfortable, rooms are far from soundproof and I wouldn't book this again if it was the last place on earth. Oh, and lots of flies seen on a window 🫣

Owners children created havoc in the accommodation and this was at night time. Running around after 10 at night. Room wasn’t cleaned.|Shower faulty went from warm to scalding. Never experienced anything like it in my life.||Mattress was lumpy, woke up with a sore rib. Pay more money and go somewhere else.

Bed comfortable 😴. The location near the airport was good if you are leaving the next day. Quiet and clean. Breakfast was a good selection.

The room was clean the shower was hot. You could smell that the bed linen and towels had been freshly laundered. Plus parking is just outside. It has a business lock up next door to the hotel so you can see some building rubble as you come in. Don’t let that out you off. A good place to get a nights kip:-)

Ardenlea House, a place in Scotland's embrace,A room so cozy, warmth in every space. With Freeview TV and tea with grace,Comfort and convenience, in this lovely place.Breakfast served continental, simple and neat,No cooked options, yet it's quite a treat. The room's toasty warmth, a welcome feat,Though the window opens to keep it sweet.A strong, hot shower, a delight, it's true,A testament to comfort, they surely knew. But bear in mind, in the midst of the view,Railway and airport sounds may come through.Despite the noise that may disrupt the night,With earplugs handy, it's alright.Ardenlea House, a stay of pure delight,Where comfort and charm harmoniously unite

One night only, but no complaints really. The run was clean and had everything I needed. Breakfast was good enough, but included only cold food.|£11 taxi to Bristows heliport. Very near the train station. Don't make the mistake of following your sat Nav set to 'car', as I did. From the train station it is a 2 minute walk.
