Rooms are very dated and grubby, plumbing needs a massive upgrade heating and hot water a massive issue, no staff when you have any issues, they took payment for breakfast then no staff turned up in the morning, at that point they started ignoring emails and phone calls, much better places in Buckie. The hotel as a whole needs fully refurbished.

The Marine doesn't look much from the outside. Honestly the sign needs replacing and a good external clean would do it the world of good.However.Inside we couldn't fault it. We went for dinner as "walk-ins". We had the restaurant to ourselves and we did wonder just how good it would be. The young lass who took our order was brilliant, answered ask our questions and queries. Made suggestions when asked. Just a great ambassador jfor the hotel ..The food was fantastic. The hot dishes were piping hot. The salad was an excellent mix of ingredients.Ignore the outside and walk through the door. It's worth it.

Poor even for £60 pound a night inc taxes the lift was not working there was hairs in my bathroom the kettle was missing even though everything else was there .the shower never got hot there was cobwebs in the corner of the room and an empty hand soap left on sink. And £15 for breakfast not worth it maybe £8 max was in for 2 nights only stopped 1

Hotel was so noisy, other guests having parties in their rooms late into the evening. No staff around. Had to check out same evening as arrival and find another hotel so I could get some sleep. When I called up the following day to seek a refund staff were unhelpful and dismissive. I would not recommend this hotel.
