Great hotel with a fantastic location! Hop, skip and a jump from the train station and the Royal mile. Room was perfect for a short stay and was very spacious. I loved the continental breakfast - plenty of choice and good coffee.  …

Excellent location, average hotel. We were located on the 4th floor of the second building which required taking the 5th floor elevator, walking down a few hallways, across a small bridge, and down a set of stairs to get to our room. …

Listed as room with a view. The room was on the seventh floor and you had to stand on tiptoes to see out of the small window. Lift was very slow|the best thing about this property was the location. …

Situated in a very central spot. 5 to 10 minutes walk from The Royal Mile, Princes Street, Shopping Centre, Bus Stops etc. It is very near to Edinburgh Waverley Train Station but with double glazing you do not hear any noise. …

I stayed at this location for 7 days now and can say, that the location, the staff and the room were perfect.I did not partake in the breakfast as I am vegan and wanted to experience the local cuisine (I've got reviews of those places here on google). From what I could see, their breakfast offers some vegan products as well. The location of both motel one in Edinburgh are pretty good, but I prefer this one as it's closer to OldTown which is where I wanted to be mostly. The evening barkeeps were pretty nice and helpful as well - whether it be tips for libations or the city, they did not lead me astray.

Excellent location to explore the city. Very close to the castle as well as the main “shopping” street. Our room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and the room even has a European plug, so that’s a plus. The hallways are like a maze but that’s a given considering the age of the building (which was really well renovated inside). It was even kind of fun!

Great location as a less than 5minute walk up fromWaverley and 100 airport bus.Concierge area doubled up as breakfast and seating areaCheck in was quick as prepaid. Was in room 316-lift extremely slow, used the stairs most of the time. The room was small for Edinburgh standards and so was the toilet.Bed was good, no interior / wall fixtures other than then tartan headboard. No fridge. No iron or ironing board in room. Toiletries were average. Terrible tea bags.Machine noise at 6am of shutters coming up, had that consistently every morning.Friday morning, the concierge area was super busy and full of people having breakfast, looked like a market!Overpriced for what was on offer as level of the premier inn.

Really doesn’t get more central location than here for Old Town. The room is sufficient and sized appropriately. Easy walk to everywhere on The Mile. Staff was very friendly. Continental breakfast is £13.50 per person, and is pretty tasty and fresh.
