Two stays here and we are just as impressed as we were was with a stay a few years ago. Large comfy room with a thoughtful basket of goodies for our dog. The food was excellent and reasonably price! The fish and chips were top notch! It is such a warm and welcoming pub and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Big shout out for the breakfast as well, nice strong decaf coffee and the fresh pineapple and melon were a tasty addition. The breakfast sausage for our dog was very well received too. We would definitely stay again, thank you Hopetoun Inn

Just had a lovely evening meal with my wife and daughter. A great welcome and friendly staff - while waiting for our meal one of our hosts came out with treats for my daughter's dog. My daughter and I had battered haddock, my wife had lasagne - all the food was superb and the local ale was delicious. A really lovely feeling to the place, with other guests chatting and sharing travel notes and stories. A real find - a good menu, well-cooked and well- presented food at a very reasonable price. There's a great grocery on the pub's doorstep as well that seems open all hours!

What a lovely, very friendly hotel. ||We were stuck at the nearest motorway service station as our campervan had broken down. The owner, Rab, picked us up from the service station, as we couldn't get a taxi. …

We stayed here for one night in April. Our room was great. Big room with a big bathroom too. It had a lovely feature bath which wasn't working at that point but that didn't matter. Staff were very friendly and helpful. …

My nephew booked a room in the hotel for his 50th birthday party. We stayed overnight with a lovely breakfast in the morning. Such comfortable beds and well fitted out rooms. Could have had a dance in the shower room. Well done the owners and staff for a really good experience

Our first time using overnight pub parking . Parked our camper van on the hotel car park and enjoyed a delicious meal in the lounge bar, a warm lounge with an open fire with an equally warm reception from the bar staff. Well recommended for future overnight campers.
