A beautiful hotel in the centre of a lovely little village. The hotel has rooms, a restaurant and a bar. The food is good. There’s a wide array of drinks and a lot of space. There are spaces that feel like castle dining halls. Spaces that feel like a small local pub. And spaces that feel like you’re in a manor house. The staff are very friendly and very helpful.

Visited here many times for food and have always had fantastic meals. This trip was no different. We had 3 meals in total here and were not disappointed. The food is fantastic, very tasty and presented to a very high standard. The service was prompt, professional and so friendly without being intrusive or overbearing. A special word of thanks to Chloe who looked after us so well. I have no hesitation in recommending the George hotel restaurant.

Great lunch stop in a truly Contry Inn with open coal fire . |We order from the Specials Board. My companion lunch dish was the Langoustines for a starter or you could choose for a main meal with fries . …

We ate here on our trip to Scotland, we love Inveraray but had never stopped here. We weren't disappointed. Lovely atmosphere and food was delicious. We had the bacon and cheese Angus steak burger with chips and salad. All were lovely! It made the day being able to eat in the beer garden in the blistering sun too! Definitely worth a visit

We ate here and had the best experience. It was busy, but they accommodated us seeing as though we’d be quick. Staff member Jack was amazing helping with our 3 year old, to get him to order, eat his whole meal and adjust as per our needs with the order. The venison burger was excellent, as was the local fish and kiddie spaghetti. Jack also helprecommendations on the whisky. Thanks so much!

We actually only tried the restaurant and it was really good. I loved the way it looked so cozy and warm like it was in a cave with stone walls. We tried red ale for the first time and it was yum! We had their prawn cocktail and roasted cauliflower and everything tasted amazing! Our server Conor was super friendly and attentive. I wish we had a pub like this where we live here in the US.

Went for my Dad’s Birthday meal, we had a large group of 12 including 2 dogs, the staff were amazing and really made it a great experience. The food was lovely and I even tried the oysters which I’ve never tried before, the cook one was really nice 👌🏼 They are very dog friendly as well as great with kids and I would recommend for anyone visiting Inveraray.
