My family and I stayed for one night on 28th August. The hotel oozes character inside and out, however it is remarkably clean and furnished really nice throughout. Our family bedroom had 2 double beds and an en-suite and was really nice.Downstairs there's a friendly bar with pool table and darts. It closes at 22:00 so isn't rowdy especially important for young families. The beds were very comfortable, however the room was warm and we couldn't cool it even with the windows wide open at night. It wasn't a particularly warm day outside, just a warm room. The 2 standout points for us;1. The breakfast was fantastic, our favourite during our 2 week road trip around Scotland.2. The staff were excellent, really friendly and helpful, we always felt looked after, whether checking in, ordering drinks at the bar, or at breakfast. Really great team and they have a lovely hotel they should be very proud of.We'll definitely stay again the next time we do a Scotland road trip.

On arrival I wasn't immediately impressed by the outside of the building. I was so wrong, this was first class in every way. Our room was tastefully decorated and extremely comfortable. We had a double shower and a bath in a large bathroom. The restaurant was good and the food and service were excellent too. I would highly recommend this very lovely hotel.

We had the occasion to stay a couple of nights as a family member was moving house. Our room was beautiful, totally fell in love with the shower!! The hotel has been beautifully restored and the food was excellent. Can't fault the service either. Everyone is super friendly and so helpful. We will definitely coming back when we come up to visit.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this charming hotel. I'll start with the food. Two of the best meals I've ever had. Dinner was chicken wrapped in gammon and stuffed with Haggis and a whiskey sauce, a broccoli and Stilton soup, and a cheese board. Out of this world. Breakfast was the Full Scottish and believe me, I was a full Scottish American. As far as service, I had had a mishap with a washer/dryer in another place, and they did my laundry for me for 10 pounds. So wonderfully gracious. Sarah, Joe, and the bartender whose name escapes me due to his rather wondrous whiskey selection made our trip incredible. This inn is 250 years old, thoroughly renovated with WiFi and just marvelous. I hope everyone has the pleasure of staying here, if for the food alone. Bravo and brava. I only wish there were more starts to give you. Thank you for everything.

We stayed at the hotel before heading to ullapool for the ferry and i cant wait to go back ! As soon as we said we had to leave early to get the ferry, the hotel staff said we could put our order in the night before, and will have our breakfast ready for us in the morning. We booked 2 rooms and both were brilliant ! The shower was powerful and it had a nice deep bath ! Rooms were clean and nicely decorated. We had tea down in the bar and it was great food ! The bar staff were very friendly and had good humour and the locals made you feel as though you were one of them. Overall the hotel was excellent and i cant wait to go back

Since we arrived we dived into a warmly environment, confy couches in the main hall and kind people welcoming. You can tell had been renovated with calssic taste keeping the soul of a typical country house. The structure as the room are very clean. The room is great, freshly renovated with a huge shower and usb plugs-in.Awesome breakfast. We had dinner and the food was delicious. But most of all the staff is friendly, smiling, helpful and kind, feels to be home. Emily especially has been a stunning help and kindness.Questo giudizio è stato utile

Popped in for a quick early dinner after a big hike and it was delicious! We had the Fish and Chips and Seafood Platter and both were so fresh and tasty. Thanks to our kind waitress for the friendly chat! <3
