Very small rooms clean and tidy| We stayed for the music festival, had to go to bed early as I didn't feel well, the music was very loud ,but I was OK with this as I was aware. …

The worst service I have ever encountered. We had to book a time slot for breakfast, we were 5 minutes late and were told so in no uncertain terms. The Indian man who served us was so rude. …

We were offered cheese sandwiches as vegan breakfast, even though on the menu they supposedly served a nice vegan breakfast. After explaining the vegan diet, the staff was unaccommodating and was only able to offer bread with butter (that would contain dairy). I could also barely turn around in my room. Luckily it was clean and I was able to sleep fine.

Great wee hotel and a great breakfast, clean rooms (fyi should of taken photo before rather after we stayed 🤦)Nowt to do with hotel, but rather ourself we made the mistake thinking this was in 'tarbet' but tarbert is about another 1h and 30min away.Another fyi, the rooms are up 3/4 floor of stairs which are quite narrow at some parts, so if you were in a wheelchair or have poor mobility i would think you would struggle to get up them.Another recommendation whilst you are here is to try the fish n chips at the red herring restaurant.

Lin is such a sweet hostess, and she gave us a very warm welcome when we arrived. Our rooms were surprisingly cozy (reminded us of a countryside cottage except with modern appliances). We absolutely loved it, especially grabbing a pint from the downstairs bar before retreating to bed. The view of the harbor is also beautiful!Tip: While the bar downstairs is not noisy at all, the other hotel guests on the same floor can be so I would recommend packing ear plugs. Otherwise, great stay!

A barman who was more interested in talking on his headset than talking to customers...that guy has a lot to learn about the bar trade

A great night in the Frigate last night.|Lovely room, great breakfast and the nicest staff I have ever experienced. The lovely barmaid even managed to get us a pair of kilt socks when we realised we had left a pair at home. Can’t thank them enough. Keep doing what you’re doing and thanks again
