We've just had our wedding here at this stunning hotel. From the first steps through the door the staff were super friendly and helpful. The views alone are incredible no matter the weather but it's the staff that really make the place. Our wedding coordinator Megan at the hotel over the weekend was approachable, attentive but not imposing. The food was beautiful. The service was brilliant, all our family and guests are still talking about how great the staff were. A few of them are already planning going back for a visit.Nothing was too much trouble. The morning we were leaving we weren't too hungry for breakfast and had stuff to pack up anyway. The hotel manager offered us a packed lunch as an alternative to take with us so we had something to eat on the way home. Also special thanks to Gemah for all her help planning the wedding, helping filling out all the forms for the hotel to help them run the day smoothly with timings.Brooke our dog also says thank you for all the attention too

I booked the Kingshouse hotel as a special treat for my husband who stayed in the old Kingshouse hotel many years ago. It holds great affection in his heart. …

My sister and I were on a highland tour and decided to splurge on a stay at this beautifully located hotel. The views are stunning. Expecting a plush room having paid a higher price to anywhere else we stayed, we were shocked to find we were given, what I can only describe as a room in a care home. Red emergency pull cords dotted around, sink and mirror low for wheelchair use, requiring us to bend down to wash our hands and look in the mirror. I can understand that the hotel needs an accessible room but we felt that the room did not make able bodied guests feel cared for. Could the mirror be taller so I can look at myself without bending down? A second sink added to the large bathroom at a regular height so you don’t have to squat to use? Could the pull cords be stored away when they are not needed so to not feel like you’re in a hospital bed? We felt that if this room was to double as a standard and an accessible room, they could have done more to make it feel like a plush room for all. On the plus side the breakfast and dinner was excellent and the views are amazing. Staff were very pleasant too.

A welcome sight after walking 18km from Bridge of Orchy. Room was lovely, although quite dark.I know it must be difficult to recruit and retain staff in a place this remote but the end-of-season seasonal staff here definitely seemed weary and “computer says no.”Apart from the cheerful Kiwi woman on reception, most had a face like thunder and any request was met with “no”, “I don’t know” or “you’ll have to ask at reception.”We were royally shouted at for missing a “please wait to be seated” sign that was blocked by someone standing in front of it. We only wanted to go to the bar! It was actually quite shocking. I’d prefer “excuse me, can you just wait there and I’ll be with you in a moment” rather than “literacy rates are shocking these days aren’t they, can’t you read the sign?” (I think he’d argue he was being humorous, the but the tone was extremely condescending and passive aggressive.)I don’t blame the staff themselves but obviously management isn’t empowering anyone to do anything outside their set robotic roles. Overall it just takes away from an otherwise fairly upscale hotel - ultimately the staff don’t make this a 4* hotel that this property promotes itself as.But maybe we were unlucky and I guess everyone has off days because plenty of other reviews here praise staff. This hotel must have lots of one night stays from people on tours or walking, who don’t go back and there’s a kind of overall “we don’t care” vibe because they know visitors won’t return. Kind of sad because it could be a lovely spot.I’ve worked in hospitality and tourism for 30+ years and service here was just…off. Would I recommend friends or family stay here if they find themselves in this part of West Scotland? No.

We stopped at the Kingshouse hotel for lunch during a day trip to Glencoe, I have to admit that we were initially concerned that the food may have been very expensive given the quality and location of the Hotel. When we arrived we looked for the Climbers Bar and we were given a warm welcome and a table with a Mountain View.We were really impressed with the bar/restaurant and was great to see that the food was not overpriced at all.We had a lovely lunch and all the staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely return again and I have to say that the food was amazing value especially when you take the location and the surroundings of the Kingshouse into account 👍🏻

We stayed for one night in the signature suite and it was truly fantastic. The view from the balcony was incredible on a clear sunny day. We ate dinner and breakfast and couldn’t fault the meals, all delicious. The staff have all been great, Sal and Chloe in particular! The whiskey selection also went down a treat. Will definitely be back!

Beautiful location with amazing scenery, staff and so on. Let down for me by 1. Rooms too hot and no climate controls. 2. Dark yellow water coming from the taps 3. Sent me a penalty charge for parking despite taking my registration number.

Stopped in while driving to stop at the scenic view and had lunch. Wonderful place and the whole staff was wonderful. If you happen to get Amy as your server you are extremely lucky. She was top notch. Oh, and the food was amazing. Lentil soup and venison burger 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Stayed here while walking the West Highland Way - amazing hotel and restaurant after many miles on the trail! The hotel is a beautiful property with very modern and comfortable rooms. We had a very delicious dinner at the restaurant (recommend the highland game terrine, salmon, and duck breast) and lovely night caps at the bar. Beautiful atmosphere and high end ambience! Wonderful service!
