My husband, two daughters, and I stayed at Rufflets this past week. Our stay there was phenomenal, and I can't recommend the hotel more highly. The hotel and grounds were the perfect place to wander and get cozy by the fire. Every member of staff we interacted with was lovely. They made us feel special and welcomed from start to finish.

Excellent location with St. Andrews town centre a short drive away. Accommodation in a two bedroom bungalow was excellent and very clean.  …

Rufflets Hotel is a lovely, vintage hotel with a variety of accommodations not far from St Andrews. My husband was looking for a special place to stay for our anniversary while we were visiting Scotland and we were not disappointed. …

This is a really lovely hotel a little out from the beautiful town of St Andrews. We stayed in a Woodland suite which was spotlessly clean and a delight to stay in. …

The hotels new addition of Woodland Cottages are comfy and the copper tubs are relaxing. Staff is friendly, but limited. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it!

We stayed for a few days in the beautiful St Andrews and chose Rufflets as our hotel of choice. As always when visiting Scotland, the people were brilliant, however the hotel did feel a little tired, especially for the price. We have stayed in budget and higher priced hotels and to be honest for the price we paid here, I didn't really see the attraction. As a younger couple, the hotel felt like it was aimed at an older cliental, the decor was very old fashioned and the carpets look like they haven't been changed since the hotel was built. The gardens are lovely and I love that the menu is based on what they can use from it, although the menu was a little disappointing, especially when it comes to catering for vegetarians.Overall, the staff were amazing, but the hotel tired and certainly not worth the money being charged.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights and it was wonderful. The staff were always helpful and super attentive. The food and drinks were delicious. The room was more than adequate for the two of us, and the additional lounge chair was pleasant for enjoying the breeze from the windows. Within 5 minutes of St. Andrews.

Only met friends for a Bar Lunch so cannot comment on rooms from this visit but previous stay was wonderful.Good choice of menu though they had run out of roast beef which we were all going to have as our first choice! The choices we had instead were very good and 4 cleared plates all that was left. The bar area I think has been refurbished since our last visit and of an immaculate standard like the rest of the hotel.
