We stayed for one night on our way to Orkney and requested a pet friendly room for the dog. Absolutely blown away by the room - large, clean, bright and it was also a disabled access room, so along with the bathroom there was a separate entrance (with wheelchair ramp) leading directly into the car park / garden which was great to let the dog out for a walk.Tea and coffee making facilities and a little fridge if you're staying for a few days.I really don't know what people have to complain about - it was lovely and quiet, the room temperature was spot on and there was hand soap and shampoo provided. Yes there was a little bit of black mould in the bathroom but I've seen worse in people's houses. As for the rooms being tired - obviously I can't comment on others but this room (as you can see in the photo) was definitely not tired. No reception!? Who cares!Highly recommend it and would happily stay again next time I'm up North.

When GPS or maping address, the place is 1 driveway off (we knew this coming just giving a hint to next stay)We rented 2 rooms 1 & 71 has access for wheel chair, including shower access.Back door in room goes out to the garden, it does not lock.Room 7 has brand new carpetBoth rooms are very large, had clean new beds & bedding, fluffy pillows.Rooms look like bed, table, sink & toilet get a clean. Nothing else gets attention. Both showers were dirty, counters, tables had sticky rings from previous stays. Walls have several Cobwebs. When closing the curtains we had a number of larger spiders fall out. Made for a restless sleep.Owner looks to be a DIYer without much knowledge. Too bad as the place has a ton of potential.

Located a couple of miles out of town in a lovely, quiet, rural environment with adequate parking. Fuss free self check in. I was in Room 5 for 2 nights, it was a large, bright, clean and comfortable room with a good shower and a large TV, as well as a hospitality tray and kettle. Very quiet for a good night's sleep, I enjoyed my stay very much. Excellent WiFi throughout the building.

We changed our plans last minute so wanted a hotel not to far from Inverness, but still easy to continue our way the day after. The location of the hotel is very quiet, peaceful and probably perfect if you have kids that like to play outside in all safety. When we entered the room, we were surprised about how big it was.. however, this feeling quickly changed as we opened the bathroom door. Mold everywhere around the shower!! We decided that taking a shower would have to wait a day. Brushing my teeth was with eyes closed to not see the bathroom and not try to think too much about it. We also had to keep the door closed because of the smell of mold, not so ideal to sleep in.When I got to bed, I discovered some hairs in it, of which I can only hope it was just from the cushions and not from a precious guest..As there is no staff at the hotel (and the provided telephone number didn´t work), there´s also no one to help you out. Conclusion: better not book here if you´d like to take a shower or have a clean bed...

First, there is no service from the hotel. They email you the code to get into the hotel. We never saw an employee. We had to email because we overbooked a night and still haven't heard back from them. However, it was so quiet and peaceful there! The room we were in was huge with a canopy bed and a full kitchen. I had to take off stars for the bathroom though. The lights are automatic so if you have to shower at night you have to keep stepping out and waving the lights on to continue which causes a mess of water. Also, that shower is so small it can cause problems for those who hate tight spaces. There was mold all over the shower but it had been killed because I am allergic and would have been sick. We couldn't contact anyone to help as there are no staff in the hotel. There is a couch in the room though and a television with full access to the backyard. If the bathroom were fixed and there was access to staff this would have been a five star in my book.

Website looks okay but it is the worst accommodation I have ever stayed at. No reception (I should say no staff on duty at all during our stay) so you let yourself in using a keypad at the front door. The rooms are at best tired, but really do not look clean. There is no breakfast. Vastly overpriced.

We spent two nights at Drumdevan. The location was perfect for what we planned to do in the area. It is completely self check-in and out. I looked for someone to ask a question, but in the entire time we were there no one was there and no one answered emails asking for a ground floor room. The room was ok. I think it was suffering from a long peak season and needed paint (There was a grease spot on the ceiling above the bathroom sink that was caused from heads rubbing on the paint). The beds were ok - a little lumpy. But we spent so little time there that in the end it worked for us.
