We stopped for lunch after visiting Dunrobin Castle. The staff accommodated us although we did not have a reservation and they were very busy. The food was exceptional, Large portions, so much so that I could not handle a dessert after my beef wellington which was undoubtedly the best I have ever eaten. Highly recommend a visit here.

I booked The Golspie Inn for my birthday last night (24th July). We are on holiday in the area as a family of 6 with two dogs. It’s a lovely restaurant really warm and cosy. …

Stopped by for dinner when travelling south from Orkney. Easy to park, just off the main road. Didn’t have a booking but staff were very friendly, service was excellent and quick and food was very good, with huge portion sizes. Would highly recommend for anyone passing.

On arrival hotel looked run down. Rooms up uneven stairs so definitely not suitable for infirm. Bed linen was clean. Mould growing on flimsy widows and also in the shower cubicle. Tv in room which worked fine. Dinner was awful.  …
