This hotel is historic and interesting - very grand! The beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Highly recommended. A perfect place to go in autumn - the trees in the grounds were stunning. And lovely views. Friendly service too.

Such a perfect, central place.to stay for our trip. The rooms were nice just a little warm. The radiators weren't cooperating. Lovely walk to the Railway Cafe and the cappuccino was.off the charts! Pancakes were pretty good also!

It was a lovely hotel, good price. Lovely grounds though the weather was bad and they were covered in leaves. The staff were all very friendly. The room was clean with a radiator that could be turned up or down.  …

This hotel is a must see if you love older places like I do. We did a tour and I waited all week just to see it. Beautiful rooms, wonderful staff, great food and stunning grounds.Only complaint was small tub with no slip resistant help on bottom. Very hard to get out of tub because water is so soft it makes it extra slippery. Being older that is a scary thing especially with no handles to help. The town is wonderful to.

I paid for a single room which was very small. The view was looking into a another person's room who was smoking a cigarette. The view also looked into air shafts.  …

Must have been a magnificent hotel once but it isn’t any more. The whole place is decayed and neglected. My room looked out onto part of the building which had a flat roof. …

I start by recognizing Rebecca in the restaurant and Debbie at reception were fantastic. They get five stars! We did have conflicting information from other folks at the reception and in the restaurant. Variety of breakfast could be improved and the first night we were there the menu was very limited. We wanted to have dinner the second night but we're told there was no room. After we had driven into Inverness and returned, they said we could have had food at the bar. The rooms need a little maintenance. Drywall was unfinished in one bathroom and our bathroom door did not close. Having said this, however, we would stay here again. The building is beautiful. The garden is lovely and as I said when I started we did meet some really nice people that work there. Hot cocoa and shortbread cookies in the room was a lovely touch. And we found the bed very comfortable.
