Perfect area and easy enough to find parking outside the hotel. Staff were nice however we hardly saw them and when we tried to check out we couldn’t find a staff member. The breakfast was just cereal and toast, which is okay if that’s your sort of thing. The thing that wasn’t the best part of our stay was the fact that the toilet in our room didn’t flush at all and was trying to fill up all night which was quite noisy. I guess you get what you pay for but if you need a poo then don’t stay here.

AVOID THIS PLACEThe worst run down place I have ever stayed in! The house is totally run down and decrepit, the hallways have water damage stains, ripped and torn carpets, chunks missing from the walls being damaged and the wooden handrails are chipped scratched and damaged everywhere. The carpets and wooden furniture in the rooms are the same - damaged torn and stained. The floors in the hallways creak and the boards underneath give way when you walk over them making one feel the floor is going to collapse. The rooms smell musky and the beds have s simple thin foam mattress on a wooden platform making you feel you sleep on the hard floor. There is no internet in the rooms and the TV doesn't work either - supposedly due to bad weather, though I doubt they work at all. When raised at reception i just got a shrug that another customer had also complained and it's been forwarded to maintenance but nothing can be done.Feeling sorry we chose to stay here. There is zero maintenance being down in this place.Save your money and go elsewhere!

It was okay. Room and bathroom was clean. Tea and coffee facilities included. Reception staff friendly. Very loud and very uncomfortable beds which is a shame. Breakfast was eggs on toast which I love eggs on toast so was happy enough. It wasn’t as bad as people say however would unlikely return

I walked into the hotel only to start coughing, the smell of mold / damp was terrible, only to be told my disabled friendly - 'accessible' room was 4 flights up on the 2nd floor - and there wasn't a lift. …

Disappointed! The hotel carpets are thread bare, stained, and damaged. The stairs hand rails and ballest rails were dirty and soiled, cracked glass in landing, dirty walls, and a smell of nothing, The room was dirty, damaged, and unsafe. The bathroom floor, as you walked in, had cracked and loose ceramic tiles that were like razor blades and could easily rip your feet open! Serious mould problems in the bathroom, damaged door in bathroom, and sink wodden surround. There is only one light working in the bathroom. Furniture in the room was very worn, cracked glass window, dirty soiled walls, worn carpets, and rust marks on sheets at the bottom. We found the tea/coffee making facilities on a tray inside the wardrobe. The sash windows could be opened too far, and a small child could easily fall out. Wifi from the hotel only works in reception areas, this is made clear but just to advise if you overlook it because mobile data isn't very good inside the hotel. We chose not to have breakfast as we were not happy with the general hygiene and cleanliness of the hotel and only could imagine that these standards would be the same in the kitchen...There is NO option to upgrade to a full English breakfast. We ended up in a local cafe and had breakfast elsewhere. We notified the hotel reception immediately after we checked in and reported the damaged tiles and mould problems and the one light not working and the lady came and inspected the room and agreed with our concerns and said that they would report it to maintenance. We were asked if we were happy to stay in the room, and we agreed to stay as ..We notified the hotel reception immediately after we checked in and reported the damaged tiles and mould problems and the one light not working and the lady came and inspected the room and agreed to stay as somebody else was complaining at the same time about their room, so we thought better to stick with what we got. DO NOT STAY HERE! Great location, but a dirty hotel needing some immediate upgrades!
