A lovely friendly hotel. Shabby in parts but chic. Comfy beds and a lovely generous breakfast. The price is reasonable for the area and the location is perfect for steam enthusiasts. …

Stayed here for the third time recently, as it's where my friends like to stay for the places nearby (which are stunning, it is a great location). Sadly I wouldn't stay again. …

Booked here for Sunday lunch for my daughters birthday, I contacted in advance as my grandaughter (5) is gluten-free. They went above and beyond getting in exactly what she wanted to eat and making it for her with gluten free gravy. …

I stayed for one night in a double room. Check in wasn't until 3pm and I arrived early as was at a wedding 10 mins away but my room was actually ready so I was kindly allowed to check in and get ready for the wedding. The room was spacious and clean and basic which wasn't a problem at all, the decor and shower room were quite dated and tired looking but otherwise fine. My booking came with breakfast which was buffet style and perfectly adequate and good sized dining area. There was a lovely bar area adjacent with an array of lovely leather sofas and nice balcony area with great views. Location was great right in the centre of Llangollen which is a pretty place indeed.

We didn’t stay at the hotel but a local barman recommended this for food. I however don’t, I was 7 months pregnant and served undercooked food, instead of being apologetic the manager told us ‘to write as many bad reviews as we want’… the lack of concern was really upsetting. Such a shame, as the location is really nice, just air on the side of caution with the food.
