Was a bit sceptical being right next to walk about however we were pleasantly surprised at how sound proofed we were being on the second floor. It helped that our window faced into the inner section of buildings so can’t comment on any of the other rooms.Receptionists were really welcoming, the room itself was very clean and comfortable. Two single beds were very nice comfortable to sleep in with decent bed sheets and pillows.I’d quite happily rebook for this location being close to everything m, especially the train station

I was a bit apprehensive about booking this hotel as previous reviews from the summer either said it was perfectly acceptable for its location or it was really dirty and people arrived to find their booking wasn't honoured.  …

Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The room was a pleasant size, very neat and clean which made for a welcoming atmosphere as soon as we walked in. The bed was comfortable, providing a good night's sleep, and the bathroom was well-maintained, with fresh towels and a decent shower. The hotel is conveniently located, making it easy for us to get to our event location. The staff were friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with any requests or questions. While the hotel offers basic amenities, everything was functional and met our needs. If you're looking for a budget-friendly option with clean and comfortable accommodations in Cardiff, the Travelodge is definitely worth considering.

Don't let the small front entrance fool you, the rooms are actually very generous. Corridors, room & bathroom all very clean. Decent size TV. Comfortable bed. Drinks & sweets machine in reception which is staffed 24/7, with friendly staff, especially Amanda. Am coming back to Cardiff and will happily stay here again.

There are many better hotels in Cardiff. I will always avoid this one. Dated, noisy, smelly… with rude staff who just could’t care less about guests. The place would be better without the receptionist who is there just to be rude. No luggage storage, in a hotel next to train station. I have never seem lower standards anywhere else in the world.

Looks a bit shabby from outside as scaffolding up right near entrance. Common areas showing signs of builders and works too. Right in middle of everything in Cardiff City centre, perfect for us. 2 minute walk from railway station. Room spotless, big and comfy. No noise at the back. Great night's sleep. Staff lovely and helpful. Recommended!

The room was good. Staff are great. Location is good for the city centre but just remember it's above a nightclub. I'm getting to the age now that I'm in bed before the Walkabout shuts 😆.

The location of this hotel is excellent. Right in the city centre and everything is walkable. The beds however weren't very comfortable, the pillows are quite hard and we had the thin covers on and woke up really cold. Even though it's June it's still cold at the moment so the thicker cover would have been better. This is available in the room in a clear bag but I couldn't be bothered to get it out in the middle of the night. The shower worked well with good pressure. We were also able to check in at 2pm which was good as hour before check in.

This hotel had a great location for a city break. The staff were super friendly .and the room was very functional . The view from the window wasn’t great but you are in the city. There didn’t seem to have much in the hotel but everything you needed was close by.The hotel does not have a car park and the one they suggested is a 10 minute walk away, which wasn’t too much of an issue. The shower was adequate and clean towels were on hand. Could have done a towel or mat to go on the bathroom to reduce the risk of slipping. Although there was shower gel and hand wash to hand . A small tube of toothpaste would have helped. I had to buy a hug one from the shop . Great stay overall
