Had a great stay here! Booked one night last minute when my plans changed and it was a very lovely place. The host was very kind and the room was clean and very cozy with a kettle, some tea bags, a small drink fridge, wardrobe, and bathroom.It is in such a beautiful neighbor on a quiet street. The area is perfect for a walk.There was also a small common room downstairs with refrigerators for food items. Perfect for my needs as a solo minimal traveler. Would stay again.

This is a very quaint place to stay, but it has lots of stairs & no lift. There is no breakfast provided. It is not handicapped friendly, but it is lovely and clean, with great hot water and decent sized towels, and it is in a good area.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the New Town Guest House in Edinburgh, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations.The first thing that struck me was the cleanliness and tidiness of both the bedroom and the bathroom. The bed linen and duvet were of excellent quality, providing a cozy and luxurious sleeping experience.There are plenty of restaurants, coffee shops and local independent businesses in the area.One of the highlights of the hotel was its brilliant location. Situated within walking distance of the city center, it was easy to explore all that Edinburgh has to offer. For those who prefer not to walk, there was a convenient bus stop nearby, allowing for quick and effortless transportation.Overall, my experience at the New Town Guest House was fantastic, and I can't wait to return on my next visit to Edinburgh. The room assigned to me was very tiny, can hardly open my luggage without blocking all the activity space. There are several bus lines around this house, line 36 is the most convenient but this bus rarely appear, I need to walk 7-10 mins to find other bus stops to the city center, if you have big luggage, you will not like walking on the bumpy steep stone road. Service level is OK, all self serviced check in and out, and room is generally clean.

I booked a room here through a travel website. I tried to contact them multiple times directly to confirm my reservation and I received zero contact back. I sent both emails and WhatsApp messages according to their website. When I tried to get the charge reversed through my credit card New Town told my credit card company that the services were delivered. NO SERVICE of any kind was delivered. This might be a nice place. I'll never know because they have zero customer service. Whatever you do, don't book through a third party.

It was a perfect stay!Owners were very kind and good. They were very helpful even we arrived 5 hours earlier than our check-in.The room was clean, tidy and we had more than enough space for 2 people.Location was also very very good; we easily walked every tourıstıc place in ~20mins and in 5 mins there are lots of coffee and breakfast places near to the hotel.Thank you again for everything 💕
