Just moved into the area and had lunch at the station Hotel this afternoon. Service was prompt and polite, food was excellent, I had steak pie which was melt in the mouth and delicious. One if our party was gluten free and had sea bass which in her words was the best she had ever had. The selection of cocktails was very temping and my wife had a sea breeze which was lovely apparently, despite me not getting a taste. The serving staff are excellent and worth every penny if the tip. We will return to sample the beer garden next.

Nice place, poor pint. Appreciate your reply. Here are some more details as requested. I had a tennents which when poured had a huge head on it. The barmaid handed it to me and said the tennents is playing up today. Not the end of the world but could have said before pouring so I could have chosen something else. Would it put me off the place, no, however I would choose another lager.

As tourists from Birmingham travelling from Stirling back to Edinburgh a friend had been taken ill and this Oasis of a pub was handy whilst we waited for news from the hospital nearby.Great local pub that we would never had gone into otherwise. Very welcoming.Food finished at 8pm on the dot which was a shame as we were hungry. We did ask at 8pm but were told no! However we filled up on snacks of crisps etc.
