I arrived hear early December as I was on a holiday trip for my work, little did I know I would be staying in a barn like room. There were seamen stains all over the mattress, and the room it’s self resembled a slum. …

Honestly one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at. We only picked this place as we were attending a wedding near by.The place was dirty, grubby and all the furniture was shabby and looked ready for the skip. The shower tray was ready to overflow after only a few minutes in the shower. The carpet on the stairs was loose at points, a real tripping hazard. We were called the day before and given the code for the front door and our room number, which was lucky, as we didn't see a single member of staff the whole time we were there. The only positives were that the bed sheets and towels seems clean and fresh and there was free parking at the back of the building.

A somewhat unusual experience would be an understatement. The only member of staff (apart from the helpful handyman) that I saw and spoke to was a concièrge/receptionist as I was leaving! The hotel had a car park but I remain uncertain as to whether or not I was charged to use it as I received no invoice/bill. The room was simply charged to my debit card when I phoned to book on the Monday before my Saturday night stay. When I arrived in the late afternoon I had the code to enter the main door. I ascended to my room on the top floor. The door was open and the key was on the table. The room was comfortable and had an en suite shower/basin/toilet. The double bed was two singles put together with a further single bed alongside. The tea making facilities were fine as was the television. On Sunday morning, my shower was curtailed by the fact the shower tray was about to fill and overflow after about three minutes (3 minutes). I think there was meant to be breakfast but I could not find any in the dining room around 9 a m.So I left to have breakfast elsewhere.

Stayed here while at a comedy gig in the tennets bar on byres Road. Can't beat it for location especially if you're visiting the Oran Mor which is literally across the road. Ashton Lane is a 5 minute walk away too.The room was really nice. We were looking out onto Great Western Road but it wasn't noisy at night, possibly due to the thick curtains on the window.Really easy to get to by public transport. Buses run along Great Western Road all the time and the subway station is around the corner. Will stay again if I'm going to be at that end of Glasgow for anything.

I arrived late. The owner Elizabeth, told me that I could no longer have the ground floor room originally booked, but I could have a great apartment just next door on the ground floor. I arrived quite late after travelling most of the day. No hot water in the NOT fantastic apartment . And two different wifi codes, neither of them worked! I told the young man who said he would sort it. I said I was hungry and needed to eat and left him to it. I got back to find still no hot water. I went next door again. The young man told me not to worry I could move into the 1st floor apartment for no charge. I dissolved into tears with tiredness. Poor young man was upset for me then. I'm 72 and it was hard. So, I said perhaps I could just take a shower upstairs and sleep down. This is a big Georgian house wide stairs, no carpet on them just bare and not very clean. NO LIGHT EITHER. I, by this time was in the film Psycho! The apartment is huge but has hot water. Shower over bath, not very clean another not very well done DIY bathroom. Bathroom overlooked parking where some youths had music blasting out and were dancing, just having fun so I pulled down the blind which got stuck half way down so I didn't have a shower after all. But I did have hot water to wash. It was all so grubby and unwelcoming. I felt sorry for the young man who had only been working there for a week. Poor lad.

I stayed at this hotel in September 2022. This was the worst place I have ever stayed in ! There was no one at the property and I had to call and wait almost an hour for a return call to give us the access code to get in. …

The hotel is so handy for me as we just cross the road to the Botanic gardens and i can park my car adjacent to the ground floor room at the rear of the hotel. …

The hotel was reasonably priced although I was disappointed that Hotels.com added taxes which put the rate up by about 30%. I thought that breakfast was included but it isn’t. …

We were told we had the 'Best room in the place', I'd hate to see the worst! The hotel contains a lot of period features, which included the mattresses, probably been around since Georgian period. …
