As soon as we arrived Kevin the Hotel manager found us a room on the ground floor as I can't do many steps. You can see he loves his job. …

Acorn Hotel was clean, cozy, and welcoming. We very much enjoyed our stay. Our room was nicer than the online pictures showed (which is rare for a hotel, in my experience!) and very cozy. The gentlemen who worked at the front desk helped us find shops and destinations around Glasgow, and the location near the park was convenient for morning jogs. We would have liked to stay for three more nights and will gladly stay here again the next time we're in Glasgow.

Brilliant hotel which we would definitely use if/when we come to Glasgow again. Perfectly positioned for the Ovo Hydro, Kelvingrove Park and Museum and within easy and safe walking distance of the city centre and railway stations, this …

The Acorn hotel was a great place to stay while we explored Glasgow. The rooms were clean and comfortable, aside from the bed which was quite lumpy and had a steep slant to it. Aside from the bed, the two men who worked at the front desk were incredibly polite and helpful and made a great breakfast. Breakfast was homemade and very reasonably priced. Would recommend to anyone looking for a decent place to stay without overspending

Location is very good as 1 mile from city center and railroad station. Located in quiet residential area so you enjoy restful sleepThe room was ok. The bathroom was small yet shower was powerful and lots of hot water. Wish you had a refrigerator to chill water and soda. Lack of AC was solved by adding 2 fans and leaving window open and curtains closed . Bed was comfortable.no shampoo or conditioner is provided so bring your own.Sadly arrived at midnight due to issues with American Airlines , so this made my first encounter less than optimal as hotel street sign was dark as was entryway until you approached steps and lights went on . Although I was advised earlier in the day desk would be closed and was told how to entry access key , as a solo female traveler this was still not ideal. I suggest you at least consider leaving room light on as really disappointing to arrive to a dark hotel and dark room .My best experience was with manager Kevin who assisted me on line and the next morning with getting fans etc.I missed his friendly chit chat and help on his days off as otherwise my experience would’ve been totally impersonal. He certainly is an asset

Very clean and a most welcoming hotel ideally situated to be close enough to walk into the city centre but be in a quiet area. The staff are most helpful and the breakfasts are excellent that set you up for the rest of the day.  …

Wonderful location next to the park. The service was stand out. I never got the gentleman's name who took care of my during my three days, but he was amazing. Friendly, helpful, cooked me specialty breakfast (I'm vegetarian with a dairy allergy). He got me special milk and eggs. Just a lovely man. The room was small, but it was all I needed as a single traveler. Shower was awesome. The walls were thin, I could hear other people talking in their rooms, but the neighborhood was quiet. Highly recommend.

Really a disappointing hotel for its price. Rooms are a bit small, the carpet is old, some pieces of furniture are stained, with appliances detaching from the wall. Our shower was a nightmare to use.Breakfasts are sub-par, with no other coffee than instant powder. The manager was SUPER nice and helpful though.
