Great surf camp hostel with lovely staff and low prices. The rooms weren’t the best, and there was sewage smell in the bathroom, the air conditional was noisy and its light too bright, but overall this is a decent place for the price. The surf lessons were mostly good.

A very relaxed, welcoming place. The instructors are very friendly and give good tips on how to up your surf game. The double room had AC + ensuite bathroom. All in all, we had a great time!

I was there because a lot of things were fully booked and so I only stayed one night. But the rooms are great and clean, the bathroom was also clean.

It is a small but very comfortable hostel, if you are looking to feel like family, this is the place. Without a doubt, the staff is the great strength of this establishment. Since you enter the hostel and meet Reno, you already feel the beautiful energy that is always present. Everyone who works there does much more than their job, they become your friends and help you with everything they can, far beyond the required tasks. Everyone from Jony (the owner), the surf teachers and everyone who works for the hostel makes this establishment a home. I felt very comfortable and I made great friends from this place, so, without a doubt, I recommend it.Regarding the surf camp, I had originally booked it for 3 days, but I felt so comfortable that I ended up extending it to a week. It is always one or a maximum of two people with each coach, so if you are a beginner you feel very safe. All of them, Antony, Ari and Jun, are very professional and excellent teachers, but I don't want to fail to highlight how incredible Jun is because he was mostly my coach throughout the camp and he really is exceptional, he explains everything very clearly and advises you on each passed.

Initially, I planned to stay for 4 days, but ended up staying for 2 weeks because I enjoyed it so much.The staff are really kind and funny. I was able to experience lots of singing, dancing, local food, and local alcohol (of course I was able to relax as well).It's about a 15-minute walk from town, but if you rent a scooter you can get there in 5 minutes, and even if you don't rent one, just tell the staff and they will take you anywhere. The location is great as there is a cheap and delicious local restaurant about a minute's walk away, as well as a cheap laundry.I surfed every day, and the coaches were great.I enjoy my days with them so much that I don't want to go anywhere else. I canceled my plans to go to Mount Rinjani and Gili Islands lolIt was a really good trip. I will definitely go again.Highly recommended for people who want to interact with locals and other travelers. that's all.

Surf Camp 79 is great, highly recommended! 😎 The staff really makes you feel part of the family. Next to the great surf camp 🏄 the staff also invited me for dinner, and a badminton session 🏸Was so much fun! Accomodation itself is nice too, great AC rooms, and roof terrace.Thanks Reno, Ari and whole Surf Camp 79 staff ❤️
