We were there for 2 nights. We arrived on a Sunday and were warmly welcomed. The breakfast, which was prepared especially for us (we were the only guests), was also delicious and the staff was warm and accommodating. The room was spacious, clean and the location by the lake is absolutely lovely.

We had 4 great nights in one of the 6 guest rooms. Absolute peace, direct access to the lake (the jetty wasn't the most trustworthy, but it held up 😉), delicious breakfast, great service. We were able to easily park our bikes on the terrace attached to the room.The restaurant also impressed us with good service and very tasty food.

We had a party from Friday to Saturday with 30 people and five of the six rooms at Freilich am See. The location is brilliant, the rooms and the guest room, all with a terrace, are very nice. In addition, the staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. The food tastes good and the breakfast is great. What more could you want, it was just great. We can only thank you for your hospitality and would be happy to come back.

Overall, we felt comfortable and would like to come back, but some expectations, including when it came to romance, weren't really fulfilled.The entrance can almost be overlooked and is almost unadorned. We received the access card in the restaurant, but the room number only after we asked again.There is a very nice view of the greenery from the rooms and rather sober terraces, but the lake directly behind the trees and hedges can mostly only be glimpsed.The one small jetty that is particularly highlighted on the homepage is also very hidden and can actually only be enjoyed by two people (with 6 rooms). The steep entry into the water looks very weathered and not very stable. It is better to enter it with bathing shoes - if at all. However, the view of the lake was particularly beautiful for us at this point, from the terrace of the breakfast and "event" room and also in the beer garden of the restaurant.The rooms are attractively designed in a boutique hotel style, but are not functionally furnished for a longer stay: there is not enough storage space. Double bed very nice. The TV is quite small and doesn't quite fit the size of the room. Bathroom with a large rain shower is great, the safe is a bit complicated to use. Fine capsule machines and accessories.Breakfast would be much better with fresh rolls and bread instead of baked goods. There are also no egg dishes on offer apart from the boiled eggs, which are at least as soft as wax. The service was very friendly.There is a large parking lot in front of the house. Freilich am See probably only has 2 parking spaces. No problem on weekends and evenings. During the week you would probably have to pay if both places are already occupied. Positive for electric vehicles: There is a double charging station there.Incidentally, Google Maps shows the house incorrectly. It is the long medical center and not the small (adjacent) building of the DLRG.We have left a separate review for the restaurant on the right side of the house.

We can really only recommend this hotel. From the incredibly friendly service to the beautiful rooms with comfortable beds and direct access to the lake to the excellent, high-quality food, we can only report positive things.

Would also give 0 stars. Even though the restaurant was only half full, it took forever to order two beers. No one came to us in 30 minutes, I had to go to the counter myself, where six employees were standing. Another 30 minutes later we left without getting our drinks. The waiters were extremely overwhelmed and uncoordinated.

We spent a romantic weekend in Strausberg at the Hotel Freilich am See. It was very nice in the hotel, all the staff were very friendly. We were warmly welcomed and treated very hospitably. We would especially like to thank Lorenzo for the warm and good support. The candle light dinner was delicious. The breakfast service was also wonderful.

We visited the Freilich restaurant on March 14th, 2024.a good service and ambience. The Kaiserschmarren ruined everything, it wasn't baked through and was half raw, so I expect a different quality in a specialty restaurant.We were just disappointed, the price-performance ratio should be reconsidered.With friendly greetings

I give the 5 stars for the hotel and restaurant. The hotel rooms are modern and chic and have a beautiful view of the lake. The restaurant is incredibly modern and beautifully decorated and you feel very comfortable. Of course there are “only” folding chairs outside, but look past that when you see the beautiful interior. As for the food, I have to say it was really tasty. I'm really critical when it comes to food but there was nothing to complain about here and everything was great. Starter great, main course great and dessert too. The staff was always courteous. All in all, it was a wonderful short vacation. Thank you.

Very nice and caring team, freshly furnished and modern rooms. Breakfast was very good and sufficient with fresh fruit and vegetables. Directly on Straussee with access to the lake from the room. It was wonderfully relaxing.

We enjoyed 2 wonderful nights! The staff is very, very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are very comfortable, modern and clean! The Bavarian style breakfast was delicious! Super modern hotel room with a perfect location directly on Lake Straussee. I ordered the pillow straight away for home. I found the solution of serving breakfast on a cake stand to be the perfect solution for a hotel with 6 rooms and left nothing to be desired thanks to the friendly service staff. Here you really are “visiting friends”
