Really recommend - as a solo traveller I'm used to being charged more and offered less by hotels. It had everything I needed and the space was well designed to be both functional and cosy. …

Poor first impressions. Upon checking in was asked for a £50 deposit , didn’t have a physical card , there were several issues upon checking in which took 60 minutes and 2 people were checked in whilst I was waiting . …

Friendly professional staff. Clean comfortable room. Unfortunately we had a view of the back of a pub. It didn’t disturb my sleep but the noise did affect my husbands sleep. …

Stayed in a suite which was really well provisioned. There was a separate lounge with sofas and chairs, with a fancy projector TV. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great. The front of house team are always professional and friendly.

A lot of thought has gone into this hotel and I really appreciated it. So, it's an old building and there are always going to be limitations to what can be done (air conditioning, major renovations etc), and I've stayed in dozens of hotels where that's kind of it. You reluctantly put up with it and leave the next day.The Berkeley Square Hotel management have focused on what they can do to make your stay better. These little additions really do make a difference. For example, they provide tea leaves and ground coffee with a proper infusion tea pot and cafetiere (none of that harsh instant stuff you normally get). Then there's a bowl of fresh fruit in your room. Finally a free night cap of Bristol Sherry, that I particular was very well received. To the restaurant (The Square) I was delighted to receive a discount as a guest, and to then find plenty of gluten free options. The Himalayan Dry Aged Burger was epic by the way. They even have several gluten free beers from The Bristol Beer Factory. That was the icing on the cake, none of that imported stuff here, proper local, GF beer and not just one either, actual choice. Still rare in the restaurant world and i was very happy.

I came to stay with my dog visiting my son at university. Not only is the bed so small and narrow for a single room but the walls are so thin that I was kept awake most of the night by a poor baby crying next door. …

Beautiful hotel and wonderfully renovated rooms, in a really good location to visit Clifton and also the city centre. I liked the little touches like free sherry and fruit, I would definitely recommend this hotel! The reception team let me know that I can book directly on their website for a lower rate which was very helpful of them. I look forward to visiting again!

First impressions count. So when we arrived at the Berkeley Square Hotel, our interaction with the receptionist was extremely fraught, so I’d suggest that may have coloured our overall view of the place. First things first. …

very cosy hotel, excellent room with all necessary amenities, and a welcome drink. the service is wonderful and the front desk workers are happy to help and very friendly.however, the room was dirty and there were stains on the walls and the furniture - that is not up to 4* standards.it was however overall a very pleasant stay :)
