Great location, very helpful and friendly reception. |I had an excellent stay and fantastic value compared to other hotels in Paignton. My room was clean, had a comfy bed and a balcony looking out over the seafront. The bars and restaurants were all close by and a great selection of entertainment for all.

Room was on the top floor and the lift (as advertised ) wasn't working. The room was tidy but the taps on sink were dirty, so was the coffee tray and teaspoon, we had to move the kettle to beside the bed to use as there was only one double power point. Bed was comfortable though and we had a lovely view.

Location perfect, room was not as expected,as was meant to be a deluxe double room with ensuite and sea view - photos I saw was a large room, looked like it was recently refurbished. But I got a room that was small with a shower that wouldn't go to Luke warm or cold it kept going to boiling hot all times. There's a balcony bit seemed it was run down. I had to ask reception staff to knock on room next door to tell them to not shout or speak loudly when on balcony but seemed like i was ignored, i had hardly any sleep neither dud my partner, we have a 6 hour journey to do in car with me driving it isn't good having noisy guests being allowed to smoke in their rooms / on balcony when it clearly states NO SMOKING except outside on front grass area. Now I'm going to be driving back to Manchester tired. I definitely not be staying here again unless the hotel owners see this review and do something about my negative stay

Okay so this hotel has changed ownership. No towels, no service, no breakfast nothing... oh and parking is impossible. Grounds are a mess. There is nothing good about this place. Oh room was cleanish. If you expect nothing, this is the place to be!! Good luck

Property looks nice enough, if a little dated from the outside, & the reception area has recently had new carpet which makes it look loved at first impression. …

Please avoid. This hotel is run by people at the Bonair next door. You have to ring a mobile number and wait....I was asked to pay for a room I had already paid for. I've taken this up with my credit card company. …

When we first checked in we were given a room that was yet to be cleaned, the bin was full with someone else’s rubbish, beds slept in, dirty towels hung up and used mugs on the side. When we spoke to the man on reception we were moved rooms quickly which we appreciated, however we were moved from a triple room with a double and single bed to a twin double room with two single beds that was £9 cheaper online than the room we booked and meant we had to share a bed with our child. This room had complimentary tea and coffee which was nice but no kettle to make it, no tv remote so we could not turn the tv on, only one big towel and one hand towel, no bathroom light and the balcony had a takeaway on it from the previous occupants so unfortunately we don’t feel we had the best stay ever. The location is great as you are right by the pier and beach and lots of local restaurants/pubs.No lifts so a pain with a pushchair.
