We absolutely loved our stay here, had one of the riverside rooms with deck out to the riverside. Room was maybe very slightly dated and windows hard to close over, but overall it was a well appointed room. The location was incredibly good, and staff were very hospitable and helpful indeed. Breakfast also was delicious. I would have no hesitation in booking here again on a repeat trip.

Traditional hotel right on the banks of the Thames. Stayed here a few times. Excellent value for money. Rooms serviced every day and kept to a very high standard. Staff are friendly and very efficient, nothing is too much trouble. …

Visited this evening for dinner and was served by Natalie, great waitress and great food. The vibes were good and the pub was quiet for a Saturday night :) we will be returning some point soon. Loved the hunters chicken and partner had no complaints about the ribeye.

Fantastic location friendly staff. Be careful with the noise as I’ve not and a good nights sleep once this week stopped for nights and every night there’s been something. I may of just picked a bad week as others say it’s quiet, this definitely hasn’t been the case for me.Monday into Tuesday woken up at 4:30am by either next door or room above who had got up for work which is fair enough, but this shouldn’t wake me up. The reason it did however is the floors are so worn out the creaks from them are ridiculous and the doors are stupid loud when opened as they slam shut.Tuesday into Wednesday woken up at 4am as the fire alarm went off and we had to be evacuated not the hotels fault and they handled this well.Wednesday into Thursday woken up at midnight by three drunk workers who where stopping hear laughing very loud out in the court yard not sure why this was allowed by the hotel or bar staff at that time of night.Thursday into Friday woken up at 5:45 in the grant scheme of things this isn’t too bad but after the rest of the week just becomes a joke. Woken up by the hotels bear delivery with kegs being rolled across the ground and banged off the floor.Safe to say I’ve left extremely exhausted and frustrated that I’ve paid granted for a basic room but the fundamental thing expected from a hotel is the ability to actually sleep until your desired time. I have a 10 hour day today and then a 3 hour drive home so getting a good rest was really important could have let one day off but the hope week is just out of order.Wasn’t all bad however the room was cleaned daily fresh biscuits each day but sadly this doesn’t make up for not being able to sleep.

If you ask me, it is a little gem on the river. This place is an older establishment and has been here for a long time. The rooms are not perfect, but it looks as if they have done some upgrades to make them much nicer. We had an issue with the first room, but they took care of it right away.On our last night, we had a chance to have dinner at the hotel. I was very pleased. I'm not sure if it was because we were outside watching the swans and geese swim or the boats on the river, but our meal was wonderful. The staff brought out our food and we could just relax and enjoy. If you are on vacation or just need to get away, the Warren Lodge Hotel is a nice place to check out.

Had an afternoon tea here for a baby shower. Very disappointing. The food was good quality but on a table of 10 people we had two sandwiches per person. One sandwich was a quarter of a regular size sandwich,( finger sandwich .)The cream for the scones was not clotted cream. Not value for money. I would at least expect a whole sandwich per person. 4 finger sandwiches each. The staff were very attentive and good.

The Warren Hotel is in a stunning setting and was perfect location wise for our 2 night stay. The staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and the service at breakfast (despite it being very busy due to lots of guests arriving at the same time because of a 7.30 am fire alarm), was fast and friendly. We paid for the cooked breakfast on both mornings and despite other reviews I read, thought it was delicious and reasonably sized portions. The garden view from our room was also beautiful and the bed really comfortable.Unfortunately on the first night we stayed, the fire alarm went off several times at 4 am and again twice around 7.30 am, which did not help for a good night's sleep. The hotel is old and does need some freshening up throughout, however the price is reasonable and that wasn't an issue for us.Where the hotel is completely let down is by the work of the cleaning team. Carpets were unhoovered, breakfast tables were sticky and needed wiping down and for us our room had a stained duvet cover and poor cleaning throughout, although apparently was cleaner than other rooms in our party. It would not be a big job for the cleaning team to completely overhaul the room, pay a lot more attention to detail and give guests a much better experience. Someone at management level needs to inspect the rooms and check the standard of cleaning which can't currently be being done. Paintwork and light switches were dirty in our room. Chrome had not been polished, the toilet holder moved and was not fixed properly and the shower had hairs in it etc, etc. Relatives in the room oppposite had to use the iron in our room as theirs was broken. These should be checked and replaced as necessary. There was also a lot of dusty corners which were obvious to see.We would definitely stay again if the cleaning was improved, otherwise probably not, as who wants to shower with someone else's hair etc :(

Wish I had read previous reviews as many of them also describe the same issues with this hotel that they clearly don't want to address but take people's money, knowing the poor quality and standard of the placeStayed 13th August for 1 night. If i had to stay longer I woukd have checked out.Grubby, tired, dirty. Noisy.Out of date food for breakfast1st room allocated, there was a leak in ceiling through spotlight, so had to move.2nd room they moved us too , had no hot water, faulty flush, spider in shower.Grubby grouting, dirty windows , blinds broken. Shower curtain mouldy. Not sure when they cleaned that last.Paper thin walls, could everything the drunk neighbours were getting up too.Terrible nights sleep.Door rattled loudly everytime other guests closed doors.Complained in the morning.Cleaning supervisor attended the room and seemed shocked at what we showed him, although judging from previous reviews, he hasn't done much supervising of the cleaning!!Provided email for manager to request refund due to multitide of issues.Sarah artmeis of Desboroughhotels has not replied to my complaint.Do not stay here.3 star????how an earth??I'll be contacting the relevant body about this rating and to about a refund
