Had an excellent night away and found this hidden gem. The staff were very helpful on arrival. Our room was spotless but missed biscuits on the courtesy tray. We had an evening meal from a fairly extensive menu which was very tasty and served by lovely staff.

We went in to a horrible smell of body odour from our server that followed him through the restaurant and he placed us ( a party of 3) in a comically small table in the corner, clearly made for 2. causing me to sit side on and have one a plate half off the table. The place was empty aside from 2 other parties. The food came, one order was wrong and all the salad was browning, clearly out of date, the batter was very rubbery and chicken chewy, chips were fine though. Not worth the price.

Have not been for a long time but had a very enjoyable meal.Seated where we asked and very attentive staff.Did not have to wait long and food was hot and tasty. Handy for parking as do not need to pay at the back after five pm. will be back next month

Met a friend for lunch, on a dreich wet April day! Delicious bowl of broccoli and cheese soup, followed by sticky toffee pudding. Lovely, just what I needed on a miserable day 😀. My friend had the apple pie and custard and said it was yummy too. Good prices too, winner!

Local pub grub bang on point service was great burger was the best burger I have ever ate from there. haggis fritter magic crunch on them biting in to them and the haggis melted in my moo banging sauces were lovley but I don’t think that was sweet chilli more like kung po lol pudding were delicious service was great polite friendly and on point any visitors in town I would highly recommended here if your looking for pub grub

Went for a celebratory meal for my husband's birthday. We are both tea total so the food is the main draw for us and the food was lovely. The service was faultless, nice bunch of girls waitressing there, polite, well dressed and friendly. The decor was warm and inviting and well maintained. Could not fault the Waverley Hotel. We are thinking about booking our Christmas dinner there this year.
