This is our second visit to this hotel and we weren't disappointed. We had the same room with the double aspect windows which give lovely views all round. Although fairly basic, the bed is comfortable and there is ample wardrobe space. …

Booked 3 rooms here with 2 of my friends while doing the NC500 on our motorbikes. Rooms are basic but clean with comfy beds. Price was great and the food and service was great! The views and area are stunning. Would def stay again

Loved it! Friendly, helpful, authentic experience. We only stayed 1 night but from the moment dad walked into the public bar (accidentally) we felt welcome. Our room was perfectly comfortable. We had dinner in the bar but we could have had dined in the cute dining room but we were happy in the bar. There were a few in the bar and dining room and it was very comfortable. The service was prompt, polite and even helpful when we asked for advice for our next location. Our breakfast was great and in a beautiful breakfast room, which I couldn’t help but take pics of. All in all, if we come back in the area, I would definitely stay here again. Thank you

On the positive side, the hotel is in a good location, with views over the coast and harbour. Also, the staff were as helpful as they could be. However, these factors are offset by some big negatives. …

Not sure where to start really! The staff were very helpful and friendly, our dinner was fab and they had many veggie/vegan options. The view from the dining room was lovely and we watched the sunset as we ate our dinner. The hotel looked like something my parents would have stayed in 40 years ago, and upstairs smelled like the carpet had never been cleaned unfortunately. We stayed in the family room which had nice views, the beds were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was the worst. The floor was wonky, the over the bath shower had some weird plumbing going on and generally needed ripping out and replacing.Definitely would not stay again (unless it had a major refurbishment).

Stayed at the hotel whilst on a road trip round the North of Scotland with my brother mid April 2024. Had read mixed reviews of the hotel. We thought it was brilliant! …

After reading some of the reviews, I was a little apprehensive about our stay, I need not have been. We were given a room at the front with the most amazing views across the bay. Yes, the room was a little tired but it was absolutely spotless. The owner went out of her way to accommodate me when I enquired about gluten-free meal options, and I was served an amazing piece of salmon. The lounge/bar area also has stunning views and the two girls working the bar area were also lovely. Breakfast was spot on. Would definitely stay here again.

We are ullapool taxis and today our driver had to transport luggage for a walking group to this hotel. He was met by a very rude female who was going to refuse to take the luggage as the party aren't arriving until tomorrow. She eventually decided that there was a room upstairs that they could go into so my driver had to lug 8 people's cases and bags up by himself. Our driver and ourselves are not at all happy and we will be contacting our customer to advise him of the member of staff's rudeness. This will also go onto trip advisor and the tourist board! If you are dealing with the public have some respect please.
