We had a wonderful overnight stay at the Carisbrooke guest house. The rooms are comfortable, clean, nicely decorated and they have everything you need. The bathroom has a really good shower and all basic amenities are provided. The location of the guesthouse is perfect as well, a very short walk from the river, cafes and restaurants.The breakfast was delicious and plentiful and they provided me with gluten free bread option.Joy was an amazing host, he looked after us well and provided us with some useful tips about the area as well.Overall we had great experience and a lovely stay

Lovely quiet rooms, very clean (I specifically liked the smell of the washer they use on the bed linen 😊) and close to everything. The owner is an absolute angel who was thoughtful and understanding of issues we had previous to arriving and made us feel at home. If you want a simple but tasty breakfast, I also highly recommend getting it! Thank you very much for everything, Joy!

We stayed at Carisbrooke as suggested by a friend! It was a great recommendation and I pass on the suggestion. Warm toasty rooms, great breakfast and lovely owners. We didn’t meet Joy until the following day as we got in late - but his communication over the phone was excellent and we knew how to get in etc. 10/10 recommend

We loved the location and proximity to downtown Inverness, it was very walkable! We really enjoyed our host, Joy, he was phenomenal and really made us feel welcome and at home as soon as we arrived. While the proximity to the downtown was close, we also felt like we weren’t in a busy part of town. It seemed very quiet and peaceful and relaxing; exactly what we were hoping for on our vacation. Joy really went above and beyond for us in helping us get situated in the city and recommending things to do. Additionally he and his wife can cook a mean breakfast! We were left full and satisfied with each delicious meal we had. Highly recommend the carisbrooke to anyone and we would love to come back someday!

Wonderful one night stay, super comfortable room, amazing owner/host. Great breakfast and perhaps the best shower of the trip. Also a pretty good location. Really added a pleasant extra layer to our stop in Inverness. Highly recommended.
