We just had our wedding at Lochardil House and it was fantastic. Rebekah and her brilliant team made our day with their excellent customer service . The food, facilities, garden, breakfast and room were excellent. …

The room is super spacious but hasn’t got some of the basic toiletries like shower caps and a cup for the tooth brush. The check in process was very inefficient. The lady was super nice but she had to do a lot of manual form filling which could have easily been done online and then she walked with each customer to their room. Definitely need more than one person to do that. The breakfast is nice and has a variety of choices although if you don’t fancy fish or bacon for breakfast, you are in a bit of a problem. Great location.

Absolutely stunning. Staff make you feel like you came home. It is a lovely experience. Perfect if you are looking for a special and very private place to retreat to that is not your typical hotel in the middle of city center.

The hotel is not within walking distance of the town. It's in a quiet location. We were told that the rooms in the main house were scheduled for an upgrade, which is a good thing. We had a bright double aspect room. Shower over the bath. Good quality towels. Dinner and breakfast were in a conservatory. The dinner menu is small, but still allowed for a good choice. Dinner was good. The cold breakfast items were ho hum, the hot selection wax good. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Stayed here for one night on a 2 week trip around Scotland. We picked this hotel because we wanted to stay in more traditional hotels instead of modern hotels. This hotel did not disappoint. The staff were all excellent and very friendly. They did not have an elevator so three of the staff members helped us with our luggage upstairs! You really felt like a guest in this house instead of being a customer at a hotel.Breakfast in the morning was also good. The room and bathroom was a bit on the small side and not modern, but you need to have that expectation when booking this hotel that the dated room is all part of the experience and fits perfectly with the charm of this old building.

"Suite" was tired, dated and unclean.I paid £306 incl breakfast. There were 2 tbags, tiny jug of milk given to you at check in to take to your room! Hole in quilt cover. No cover on back of tv remote control, leaving batteries exposed.Shower head was shocking, on running bath water instead, hot tap belched out brown water. Ran it for a bit and became clear. Scottish water is usually the best quality. As we'd had a long journey from a wonderful 2 nights on Skye, I was too tired to complain. But have since filled in a questionnaire about my stay.I feel Highland Coast Hotels need to address the disparity in room rates with superior competitors. My high expectations of money spent were not met, such a shame as ruined this part of our holiday.

Very nice hotel. Rooms are smart and well maintained. Would recommend however they invest in some door arresters for the garden wing. The access/fire doors will slam shut and are very loud when that happens. Our room shuddered each time.Hotel restaurant serves delicious food and drink, and the hotel staff are amazing. Professional, courteous, and friendly. It is evident they take their jobs seriously.
