Really welcoming atmosphere. Its an old style hotel yes, but its clean and comfortable which for me mattered most! Hair and body wash in the bathroom was a nice touch as was the comfy armchair in my room! Overall good value for money great location just needs a few tweaks!^^This was my first room, I stayed here several further times and things got worse from noisy guests (of the not so family friendly nature) next door to a room where none of the lights worked. A shame as it started so well.

Great staff and great food. Very dated inside and top floor has no pressure for the shower so no hot water. It very hot in the rooms even with windows open the fan doesn't do anything. The bathroom door is loud to shut and my shower head didn't fit so had to hold but it didn't matter as I had no hot water so went to a friend's on the first floor. Only free socket was behind the bed so had to put the bed out to use. My view was lovely though.

Stayed here after issues with our original accommodation. The manager was very helpful and we were tended to very well. There is on street parking, but no parking complex. The hotel has stairs and well as an elevator for disability access. Other areas include the bar and restaurant. Dinners and evening meals are good value for money and breakfast was good with both a vegetarian and non-vegetarian option. The rooms were 3/5 with some of the chairs and bathroom being somewhat dirty. Overall not a bad stay. The area is a little run down, but everyone was very friendly and we had no issues.

My friend and I just visited Wales with her elderly mum and dad and stayed at this hotel for two nights. We received a very warm welcome from the owner upon arrival, and were directed to our rooms, which were clean and tidy and more than adequate for our requirements. The receptionist Vera was extremely friendly and went out of her way to be helpful and accommodating - such a pleasant girl. We also ate dinner on both nights and the food was tasty with a varied menu - compliments to the friendly chef, with whom we also chatted. I would highly recommend this hotel for the warmth and friendliness of the staff, and we had a lovely stay.
